Genuinely asking for older peoples advice and younger to if yall got it like that. Im 21 doing full time schooling towards my Juris Doctorate degree (Law Degree). In hopes of becoming a family law attorney. But as the title states im asking not for handouts but for advice. What ways have yall made money efficiently not overnight bull shit because i dont believe in that but something thats stable and yall can do juggling school and studying for the LSAT. People say money doesn't buy you happiness and respectfully to me if you're one of those people I disagree more than anything in the world. I would sell my soul for financial freedom, genuinely would off myself for my family to be forever free. I would do anything and everything but juggling a actual job at a grocery store tanked my GPA and let me tell you colleges dont like seeing low GPAS. So coming full circle is there anything you guys can spread awareness on for money making before i off my shi because tuition is gonna be the end of me i can put my money on that.

People say money doesn't buy you happiness [...] I would sell my soul for financial freedom
I'm with you on this, I think. Freedom is a requirement for me to be happy, and financial freedom is an aspect of that.
Those who say that money doesn't buy happiness, have often seen freedom traded for money, which indeed is backwards.

Where I live, state sanctioned loans are the common way to finance school. I think it's a good option if the terms are reasonable.
In other places there are stipends and such. Make sure that you haven't overlooked something like that.

When you ask for ways to make money, you're competing with others who doesn't have the workload of studies on the side. It'll be tough, no matter how you twist it.
How much money do you need, and how much time and effort can you realistically spend? Look for opportunities where you have a personal advantage - the partial law degree, or some other skill.

Lastly you might simply be able to pause studies for a time, to work and save money. Delaying the degree a year, while you work in a grocery store, might be a viable option.

Money has a diminishing marginal utiltity. If you are poor winning 500 Euros can feel really good.
But if you are a millionaire you won't care about it. In a cynical way one could say poor people have to care more about money than rich people. Because when you are poor the lack of money restricts you more in your basic needs. When you are poor and if you have to count every penny money is more omnipresent in your mind. Because in your every day life you have to witness what other people can afford in contrast to you.

I don't have a good advice. My parents finance me. And honestly I think I will have to kill myself when they are dead. I will never be able to work and I fear poverty a lot. The biggest advantage that I have is the country I live in. In the US I might be on the streets already. But people in my country are on edge to cut the programs that could make me survive this hell on earth.

Some employers also have an education benefit as part of their employment package. It's usually not much, but might cover a class a semester.

And if you chip away at a class or two each time, yeah it'll take awhile but you'll still be progressing towards your goal - and equally getting work experience, so when you've completed your studies you will have that and experience - and those combined make you more marketable for better jobs later too.
Just a thought!

Honestly I can talk about this forever, but it's incredibly chaotic. I'm not rich either.

How much money do you want?

Do you care about ethics? Do you care about having a fulfilling job that brings actual value to the world? Do you want to own a business? Do you want to do everything yourself?

If you had all that money, what would you do?
Can you do that now already, do you really need to sacrifice a lot of your years of life working for wealth, which has a decent chance of succeeding at the cost of a few years of your life?

I never perused money per se. There are things that I am truly deeply interested in and I pursued my hobby as a passion. I am incredibly good at it and I think I could achieve a living out of it, but burned out for very good reasons. This is a problem with doing what you love for a living, your values might change or the world my change. If somebody succeeds to make a living by doing what they enjoy, that's the "best case" (or a very balanced, reasonable) scenario in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend chasing money just for money, but I understand why some people would.

I believe that you people can create things so high quality and valuable that they are impossible to ignore. But I acknowledge money is unfortunately important, it buys time, and with time you can do whatever you want, as long as have health and freedom (and people seem to give away freedom, so money won't help you when the world is in flames, but I digress). Whatever you want, for example continue working on the business, which is fulfilling. If your business is not fulfilling and you only want money, then probably some regular jobs are a better option. And if you want to be manipulative and gain money by any means, then you are part of the problem.

I read a few books on entrepreneurship. Special mention to "The Millionaire Fastlane", obviously opinions vary, some people call him a grifter, I liked how he pointed out CENTS (Control, Entry, Need, Time, Scale). None of these are requirements, but those can help. I'm going to list them out from memory, but I'm also going to add a lot of my own opinions. It's worth nothing that the author does not recommend doing what you love, which I personally disagree, but I understand the viewpoint.

A lot of these are pretty obvious, but I didn't know or consider these at some point in my life.

Control - how easy is it to destroy you? Is there somebody that can just destroy you business instantly? Very often the answer is yes. Either the government, or google can shut down your YouTube channel, steam can refuse your game. Sometimes there are better or worse alternatives, but there are ways to hurt businesses.

This very often is deliberate and malicious. People fake copyright strike others, people create fake copies of websites, claim that you, the actual creator and owner, stole from them. People steal music, graphics, upload this as their own and copystrike you. It's incredibly obnoxious. This happens to everyone, big, small, new, veterans. Your favorite whatever had to deal with it too. It's incredibly demotivating. When money is involved, a lot of people lose their senses. People fight each other for scraps and vote in authoritarian people, as if that is going to help their cause.. What a fucked up world, truly.

Entry - how easy is it to copy whatever you are doing? If you do something that is easy, that anybody can copy at any moment, then it's not a good business idea. It can still work, but if you do something that is difficult, that not many people know how to do or solve some difficult problem or issue, that's a huge win. This requires incredibly knowledge of the topic and effort.

Need - do people even need this? do people want this? want and need is not the same, but.. well...
{preferably you offer something that truly helps people, it doesn't manipulate them, it doesn't scam, it makes their life better and does not make anybodies life worse. That is when you are providing value. Search or ask for problems that people have, search for complains and solve them, make their lives better. Don't create some trash and try to shove it down peoples throats, that's terrible. Even IF it makes money, that's just so selfish.

Time - the author talks about how you can decouple yourself from the business. If your job is being a teacher in some school, that requires your time. You need to be somewhere for a few hours and that's how you make money. If you create some software then you can theoretically sell it to millions of people, it doesn't require your time in the same sense as a regular job.

Scale - Can this business scale. I don't even remember much about this, I don't care enough. something about if you have a coffee shop then maybe you can open them in many other places, cities, countries. That's scaling, can your business scale. I don't care, I don't need infinite money, I just need enough to make a living doing what fulfills me (which is making the world a better place, if what I'm doing doesn't earn enough, at least I know it's something good anyway).

There are also strategies like blue ocean. Whenever sometimes new pops out and earns a lot of money, instantly people copy it and make similar stuff. This happens all the time, I see it in games a lot. Suddenly everybody wants to make that thing. Some of the copies are good, actually. But very often it's quick cash grabs. Back to blue ocean. Instead of fishing on red oceans (somewhere where everybody fishes, doing the same thing at thousands of other people are doing), find a blue ocean and fish there. This is a decent strategy. It of course might not work out or not earn enough and there are always risks. But I've seen examples of successful (games, mostly, because that's my expertise) business arise like this.

For example.. How many games are there about manipulation (not talking about Among Us, but that can indirectly teach you that), if none, maybe create a game like that (not you specifically). If it earns enough money, that's incredibly, you made money. If not, at least you created something that is truly valuable in the sense that it makes the world better. That's better than created some manipulative gambling game. At least that's my philosophy, unfortunately it's not a common one. Because people just chase this money and money and that's the only thing that matters, I got mine, fuck you. That does not make the world a better place.

That's a tiny crash course in entrepreneurship combined with a venting.

What's that? You want more venting? I got you.

AI makes things a lot worse now. I don't feel like going on an AI rant now, but people can now generate a lot very basic stuff (code, sites, programs) of low quality. And if something goes wrong, they can't fix it easily, they don't understand it, AI might not be able to fix it for whatever reason. Just care about what you do. Just understand it, why it works, how it works. This can be incredibly fulfilling. If you care about what you do, you will create higher quality stuff. Focus on solving problems.

I really could continue, but that's enough. I needed to stay awake, so this helped.

Thank you for your words. I have thankfully paid for everything and wont let my parents pay for my college and havent taken out loans so im in no debt. (Yet maybe) i dont know money wise but i want to be moves off into a dorm at the minimum by 23 if not. Idk how to put it in words that will make sense i guess? But id probably just off myself with my sn if not a firearm, bc what am i doing living as a 23 year old at home with his parents, so 2 years time. I cant pause my degree any further as my shitty counselors have already strayed me far from my original graduation date because of classes i didnt need and needing to raise my GPA past what they told me when i first started and maintained. But either way its a waiting game of these last couple of years. Thank you for your insight

Creating a game is very interesting take. Ai does make everything more tedious and less rewarding as ai can generate whole apps but copyrighting, paywalls, let alone creating an app that solves a problem efficiently that no one else has done is hard. Let alone an original game. Ive tried things like drop shipping and reselling to no avail. For drop shipping i always made websites around holidays (ive made 3) valentines day, christmas, and summer (not a holiday but go with it) because its easier to market products to people around those times. Valentines day site was around gifts and decorations, as well as Christmas. Then for summer promoted items that helped you either have fun, stay cool, etc… Then promoted and paid for its own domains all over tiktok, and youtube, even pintrest to no avail. Down a good amount of money from all that so decide to stop trying. But im doing the TLDR though… or atleast attempting
