Mobile phone. Okay. I'm going to text someone from my phone in the last minutes. Is there any way I can make myself safe after this if they call the police? So they don't find me by GPS? Or something like that. Take out the SIM card? Get the battery out? I'm going to do it in the car.

Personally, I'd consider a delayed email or sending a letter if you have a goodbye to send. You never know if you're being tracked

This is probably the best option if it's something you're considering.

I would advise to not even bringing the phone with you since even by disabling GPS, gmaps can still locate the device, specially if it's an iOS/MacOS device

Taking out the SIM card should be more than enough, but if you have a phone with removable battery, do it too, without the battery it's simply impossible to track it in any shape or form, but remember to change location once you do it.

You can send a delayed message on iPhone, assume there's a similar technique on Android

Your whereabouts can more or less accurately be determined by, for example, your signal strength relative to the cellular base stations in your vicinity. The further away from civilization you go, the harder it will be, but that's inversely proportionate to your coverage which kinda defeats the purpose. More importantly though, records of your location will be kept - so even if you disable your phone, your last recorded location will be known for some amount of time. I would not bring my phone with the intention of using it within minutes of a place where I don't want to be found. That said, since this involves the police I wouldn't expect things to move very fast unless maybe you're a most wanted criminal.

Yes. Thanks guys. I thought so.I will not do unreasonable acts with a mobile phone. I'll leave him at home. The only thing I want is to drive my car for 220 km on the Autobahn. I think I'll do it on CTB day, its soon and coming. And then SN. And a delicious chocolate bar. Love you.

This is the best to do.
I'll do it at least.

I read about that but it seems complicated... I guess there's no point risking sending a normal text though and someone foiling your attempt. I was thinking though, if you sent a text in the middle of the night, they would probably have it on silent mode or not check until the daytime.
