Help Mirtazapine

Does anyone know the toxicity of this drug? I don't think it's very reliable for CTB, but maybe I could possibly combine it with something to create some deadly concoction. I can't find much online about it unfortunately

No chance. It is a very safe drug, hence why it is prescribed a lot. Can´t OD on it

Twelve reported fatalities have been attributed to mirtazapine overdose.[62][63] The fatal toxicity index (deaths per million prescriptions) for mirtazapine is 3.1 (95% CI: 0.1 to 17.2).[20] This is similar to that observed with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.[64]

The last reference was marked as unreliable by a contributor last year, but despite claiming there are "many" references they don't actually cite any:

Mirtazapine is known to cause hyponatremia in some patients and is therefore is a potential slow sodium channel blocker with cardiac symptoms typically appearing around a month after treatment, it just isn't a "fast" sodium channel blocker. This is from one of many peer reviewed journals that actually bother to include Mirtazapine in safety studies. The results on safety are questionable beyond specific cases such as general risks of overdose in people with no co-morbidities or tcas and it's cardiac safety in general is questionable compared to ssris

It really is, I find that my dreams have become more vivid since being prescribed it

The downside is that it's really hard to come off it. You'll get no sleep if you ever stop or run out.

I suppose I'm lucky that my prescription is heavily monitored in that case. If they were to change my drugs then it would probably be a slow process

I was on max dosage for Mirtazapine. I went cold turkey on it. I did try to slow it down like half of the dosage (45 is max where I live) for some days, but then just skipped it. The fact you can go basically cold turkey tells you enough you need to know about its potency or effectiveness. I´ll ask for Tavor or Zopiclone next instead.

No, don't even bother trying. It's almost impossible to CTB by using it or a concoction of psych meds. I know this from personal experience - I have 3 failed attempts with psych meds. No matter the dose, I always failed. Never again. Antidepressants overdose will not result in death, you'll most likely lose consciousness, that's what happened to me.

Good thing about mirtazapine from a CTB point of view is it's a pretty decent antiemetic. I take it to sleep – always does the trick.

Not worth trying to use it to ctb. It will just make you sleepy and sickly. You'd just sleep a lot and vomit every time you woke up for a while.

If you are using it for sleep, remember that the sleep dose is very low. I weigh 90 kilos and the sleeping dose for me is only 300 - 500 mcg. 28 mirtazapine pills of 15 mg are enough for me for 1.5 - 2 years. I don't take it every night.

When I was on it I referred to my dreams as Mirtazapine Dreams. They were wild.

Does it? I once took a pill (Mirtazapine) for fun bc I thought it'd make me sleepy. My eye lids were heavy and the rest of my body was like being on MDMA ... not very nice ... I wanted to sleep.
