I'm planning on taking alcohol and painkillers and then using a chef's knife to stab myself a few times in the stomach and then just lie down and wait to die, or stabbing myself and then slitting throat or just slitting throat, I've no place to use a rope. How painful would this be?

I think your body wouldn't let you.
Although japanese samurai would do similar things without even flinching so maybe you can.

I think the success rate wouldn't be terribly high though you might just pass out from your guts spilling out but without any major bleeding you might survive long enough to be found.

Go through the SaSu forum, there are better methods than this. Painkillers will not help in such a situation. I took a very powerful painkiller for my toothache and it didn't help, so for cuts, It'll definitely not. Unless you have anesthesia grade stuff. High chances of ending up in hospital. So, brother, please avoid this one if you can.

It's against the forum rules to recommend a method. So, i can't talk about it. Find the method compilation post, and go through what methods appeal to you. I'm in your same situation though, and I can't use any setup. Last week my CO setup was confiscated by my father in a surprise check.. I'm also looking for something fast something that doesn't needs setup. If i had enough alone time, i might have tried partial hanging

Stabbing is number three on the list of non-methods for a reason: it is almost never effective. There's also a very long thread somewhere here by someone who tried stabbing. They gave themselves significant stab wounds & waited for hours to bleed out, and not much happened. They ultimately CTB'd with SN I think about a year later, after a long hospital stay & painful recovery. In short, DO NOT.

There are numerous reasons why you shouldn't do this:
- Painkillers and alcohol aren't as strong as you probably think they are. The amount you would need to not feel significant pain anymore would put you into a state where you are unable to act like you intend to.
- The human body can be incredibly resilient to stab wounds. People are able to survive more than 30 in some cases.
- It is basically impossible to cut yourself in a way that hits the vital parts you want to hit for ctb. Your body won't let you do it slowly and with precision, you could only go with swift motions which naturally lack precision.
- That doesn't just apply to the stomach area. People survived with literally half their neck sliced open.
- In general, stabbing / decapitating yourself is a method often shown in movies because it looks dramatic und you can stage it cinematically, but it doesn't work like that irl.

If you mean seppuku, then the stab to the stomach isn't fatal, that's just a ritual for preserving honour or something. They get decapitated by an executioner immediately afterwards.

Did you read the rest of my post? I wrote right after on how it isn't typically fatal at least not quickly.

Oh, I thought you were referring to OP's stabbing with the non-fatality. Sorry, my bad.
