I keep bouncing back and forth in my head on which method to go with. It would have to be a sure bet because I've already attempted a couple times in the past few months and I can't keep going with this unbearable pain and suffering. I tried to jump off a bridge a few months ago but a biker talked me down and honestly it was a lot scarier and harder to actually jump than I expected. I have the equipment for night night method (ratchet and corn bags) but I'm unable to make myself pass out trying to locate carteoid artieres. I ordered SN off A and I highly doubt it's legit. I'm flirting with this idea that placing 50 rubber bands around my neck would work. I read online someone in jail did this and it worked. I would love opinions on this. I'm thinking I'd place them and take sleeping pills so I don't have to be uncomfortable throughout. I also have the equipment for using helium to exit but I don't trust helium being pure enough. Thoughts? 🙏

Blood test the SN or somehow get helium or other gas you can be sure of.

I'd stick to the more popular methods as there is plenty of data of them.

Closing carotid arteries seems tricky. Doesn't always work but when it does it happens real fast. I believe you shouldn't play around with night night or partial as it can be accidentally successful even if you are just testing.

Don't know who A is but you should be able to get your hands on SN, you could order it online. As far as the bridge, how tall was it? If you're in the US the most reliable way to ctb would be using a shotgun. Be careful with methods that involves cutting the air/blood supply to your brain, because failing like that can result in irreversible brain damage. Wish you the best of luck man <3

I live in Canada and I can't find a reliable source. If someone knows how I can get some in Canada please pm me. I wish I could use a firearm but it's impossible for me to get

I feel you man, wish I also could get my hands on some firearms lol but I live in Europe, so my current method of choice is using SN and meto as my go-to. Go research more about that method, it's pretty peaceful from what i've read.

I'm wondering if I try the bridge again but this time blindfold myself as soon as I'm on ledge and take benzos right before so it would make it harder to hang on?

How tall is the bridge though? I assume there's water beneath and you'll drown. My best advice for you is to calmy research about these methods as best as you can. I understand that you feel like you can't go on and you want to get this over with ASAP but I don't want you to end up hospitalized against your will or severely hurting yourself.

The rubber bands method seems unlikely to work- in prison people are desperate and get creative, but there are much more reliable options out in the real world. Reliability is the key, since in the U.S. in 2020 only 1 in 29 suicide attempts were successful, according to official statistics.

How high is the bridge? This is important, since ending up paralyzed but alive will not make your life better.

Im a girl btw 😂 I definitely would do SN just can't find any and the one I ordered I just know isn't going to be legit 😩 so frustrating

Damn .. it's lions gate bridge I'm not sure how high. I'm thinking I could tie my hands and jump so if the jump doesn't kill me I could drown

I've been researching non stop and I agree I don't want to end up hospitalized either

I looked on line it's 111 feet into water- it might or might not work, but I think the odds are against it working- the golden gate bridge is almost twice as high- that is much better, but it is almost impossible to do there since police swarm any single people on the bridge. Two methods with a halfway effort for each one typically doesn't work. Committing to one reliable method has a better chance of working. Keep in mind that in the U.S. in 2020 only 1 in 29 suicide attempts was successful- successful attempts usually result either from careful planning and knowledge or from using a known highly reliable method- you would have to do research for this, we should not suggest specific methods here- some quick searches on google could help with this.

I don't see it as halfway effort if I was to jump and have a backup in case it didn't work. All the methods seem to have risk that they won't work. I think night night is my best option

Sorry, I didn't mean this as an insult, it's just that failed attempts can lead to psych wards and make your life worse., and in the U.S. only 1 in 29 attempts worked in 2020. I just think that jumping 100 feet into water isn't reliable at all and I think that tying your hands in a river won't cause drowning, most likely, you'll still float and be able to kick to land with your legs. For people on this site who seem to ctb, based on their posts, careful planning of one method is a common element.

I'm curious, why do you keep repeating this 1 in 29 statistic in each of your posts? I addressed this in a reply to you on another thread. An 'attempt' doesn't mean the person was serious or knew what they were doing. Suicidal gestures, impulsive decisions, drunk etc are probably included in those stats. I'm sure the stats for people who are well prepared and serious is higher than that.

Of course that's true- and that's the point I'm trying to make- a high percentage of these are attempts are impulsive and not thought out well or are very unlikely to work, like putting rubber bands around your neck, which was at the start of this thread, or medications that are very unlikely to work. But these attempts that don't work often result in mandatory hospitalizations, which most people don't like. These stats, the official u.s. stats for 2020, are a reminder that shortcuts or long shot methods cause other problems.

Ok makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.

Yeah I think you should really think and plan out your method. You might not get many shots at this. It is important to have everything squared up before you make an attempt. Everyone is going to have their own preferences and availability on methods. But whatever you choose it should be realistic and straight forward.
