I might be very lucky but I chat daily with a couple of members here, and they are amazing, respectful and make laugh, they chat with me when I need to vent. just to say that there are good people here, I would dare to say 80% of members here are amazing. Also I would like to address the comment about meeting up, yes we did have conversations about it but from my perspective she brought it up first and would very regularly fantasize about it and tell me all the things she wanted to do with me and admittedly I got sucked in and started going along with it but we did both agree that it would need to be a long time before that should even be really considered, the conversation was mutually agreed upon to stay in the realm of fantasy.

The first time I was just having fun and used it with an A casually and she told me that she wanted me to say it again and so I proceeded to repeat it twice more before she eventually started becoming very upset at my usage of the word and I apologized and she would not let it go for days and my mistake became the main focus of conversation with me needing to constantly reassure her that I was not racist or she would leave me.

My apologies, we where on the phone after having already been talking for a few hours and If my memory serves me right we where talking about a combination of hiphop music and racial politics briefly; I decided to make a joke saying "Whats up N" as a reference to the culture. The other two times it was because she told me that she found it exciting and wanted me to say it again. I admit the joke was of poor taste and I have and still do apologize.

You did nothing wrong, imo, and you apologized. But like I said, I am more relaxed about this stuff than most people. Interracial relationships are tough, though, especially nowadays when people neurotically obsess about race and oppression all the time.

I would like to put emphasis that we where never a relationship, we both agreed that we should take a lot of time to get to know each other before considering going that far. I should not have even participated to begin with and admittedly I should have been more open with my communication as I was unaware of how she was feeling so this much I am willing to take blame for.

I don't see a point in making these types of threads about personal relationships, other than seeking attention and getting patted on the back by other users. If there is a conflict/ abusive behavior present, abusive messages can be reported to the mods. This is none of our business, imo. The title of this thread is very misleading, it implies that the person was captured against their will during an IRL meeting with a member of this site. That is how I initially took it. Considering that a recently deceased member was actually captured, figuratively and literally by their partner, without a possibility of an escape; I find these high school drama types of threads (where people are making a big deal about sexting and some impolite words being said) to be in extremely poor taste. But that's just me.

That was not my experience. They usually respond or take action the same day when I contact them.
