mental hospitals are icky.

While I'm aware people experience hospitalizations in a variety of ways, I know that no matter what, I will never allow it to happen to me again. Or at least voluntarily. For starters, a lot of my issues that led me there were always financial based. In the hospitals I was forced to be around strangers, unable to access my device & often mistreated by staff & other patients alike. I remember a nurse forcing me to eat a day old banana I had stashed away in my bag whilst telling me she hates wasting food. My experiences inside these hospitals have led me to believe Americas mental health system is a fucking joke & most of the time, mental hospitals exist for Big Pharma & to syphon patients insurance money.

If my situation ever led me to repeated hospital visits. Let's say my health started to fail. Nope, that's one thing I won't do.

I don't know any place more miserable place than the hospital. That freaking smell and the depressed people staring at the walls,the long waits,fees,etc.

i got coerced into going to the mental hospital after i failed suicide. i was found in a forest by firefighters at night (i got lost) and they told me that i could go home. the paramedics arrived and told me that if i didn't voluntarily give myself up, the police would appear outside of my home and force me into a mental hospital for 72 hours. i chose to stay for twelve instead. i was asked to retell my version of events over five times. they took away my devices and even clothes. family could only visit one at a time. the bed was uncomfortable and the noise heard throughout the corridors was loud. i couldn't wait to get out of there. i told them that i'd seek help and blahblahblah, but they diagnosed me with depression. i genuinely felt like i had been freed from a prison once i got out. they didn't force me to eat anything which i'm grateful for. my self-starvation went uninterrupted.

the exact same thing happened to me. when i was first hospitalized, i ran away from home & almost got attacked by dogs then had to call the police on myself. the officer called himself doing the right thing then 10:13d me.

i'm not even seeking mental health help anymore tbh. im sick of the hospitals , prison like systems & everything else surrounding it

When i ran away, i was running away to the park so I could starve myself to death & die. However when i walked past this more rural area to get to the park, the dogs came out of nowhere and started barking at me and sounded like they were gonna attack me( I didn't have my glasses) I ran into the woods cut my foot & started bleeding & then called the police lmao
