It needs to be abolished immediately. Why isn't it a crime?!

it is a big tabu. also it is often protected under a religion and I think some may feel offensive if they question religious authority. Most boys and men even the mature ones feels not comfortable and insecure about their own penis...and about their size. It is very sensitive topic. As a men it would be very painful to admit yourself that something is not fine.... but success had been achieved, that female circumcision is de-mythed and considered illegal in many countries.
I definitely wouldn't recommend using soup to clean your penis.
:haha:

Sorry , my English is not that perfect... I mean just like soap.... :haha: Penis looks cut somehow unnatural when I study... If grown to full beauty and freedom.. it has it s beauty.

i think that are too many myths. if your skin bacteria is intact and healthy there should no problems. They are part of you and protect you and your penis... from any infection, foreign bacteria and from any odor. That's the reason some doctors recommend washing only with clean water and not using any harsh soup.

Yeah, no. Again, the foreskin actually traps oil, skin cells, and moisture in a dark environment that is the perfect setting for bacteria to thrive in. This is an undisputed fact; as @ArtVandelay and other intact men will tell you, it requires maintenance, period, regardless of what you wash with. I'm not suggesting that intact men are carrying around lint/sand/loose change in their foreskin, but it's a fact that it does take more effort.

It's been reported that balanitis, balanoposthitis, meatitis, phimosis, and paraphimosis were higher among uncircumcised children. This makes sense, as penile foreskins don't retract in infancy. In fact, I think it can take up to age 10, which predisposes uncircumcised boys to higher rates of urinary tract infections.

Gotta say, SS is pretty much to last place I expected to be having a circumcision debate.
The sea was angry that day, my friends.

I actually snorted Coke Zero up my nose. It burned. I love you so much, @Mrs.O'Leary'sCow!

I am not happy you as feeling that you are misleading what is complete non true after deep analysis and may harm children as well as grown men thus I open a strong word against it to warn and prevent harm. The fore skin is there for a reason and fits perfectly in harmony of the organ, please don't spread this rationalised justifications. If you let it made to your child, please take the possibility of having done harm and let it be... if you feel this way, forgive yourself as also your child will do. Too much nonsense and justification spreading about this topic and that is absolute not ok so my social awareness is giving alarming signals. Also been sensitised to it after hearing of many men not able to reach deep sexual satisfaction anymore to the point they feel suicidal and family life suffering. Good sexual satisfied man show's his good character and opens up his heart, but many men are suffering in todays society. After all this topic is a big taboo.

Which deep analysis are you referring to? Please post links to the studies. If you think what @gingerplum said is "completely non-true" you are misinformed.

Hello, I'm new.

Here are some more ,,facts'' about this topic:

https://intaction.org/kevin-cagle-circumcision-suicide/
https://circumcisiondiaries.blogspot.com/2012/11/a-circumcision-suicide.html?zx=8470a9c6ab58b950

https://www.gaystarnews.com/article/gay-man-suffered-depression-circumcision-kills/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Reimer

Imo every man, who needs to kill himself, because his genitals got mutilated, is one too much. From the very first, society should have realized that this desecration of children must finally be ended.

I also feel mutilated myself.
I belief, that there are way more suicides, wich are related to male genital mutilation, than we get to know. Also there are a lot of circumfetishists and victims that are suffering from stockholmsyndrome. They try to defend this unnecessary- and pseudo-medical ritual with everything they got.
I'm definitely not thankfull for the chronic pain, the scarred glans, the ugly circumcision scarr, the lost sensitivity, the trauma, the stolen dignity etc.
In fact my genital mutilation contributes the majority to my wish to die atm.
Nevertheless, I find it positively surprising that this inconspicuous and shame tainted topic, like ,,the genital integrity of men'', is discussed here.

I worked for a group of urological surgeons for years. Sometimes circumcision is necessary. Some men with phimosis, especially those who "learn to live with the pain," may wind up with restricted blood flow to the head of the penis. That is a much more significant problem.

The simple answer is that there is no simple answer. No group has a right to impose their religious beliefs on another group. Full stop. If you believe that indigenous peoples should be free to practice their coming of age rituals without restrictions, you must allow so-called "first world" groups to do the same.

Do some men feel cheated? Certainly. But they would be far from the first to feel betrayed by a choice their parents made. To argue that G-d has made everything just as it should be is to negate centuries of progress. Should deaf children be denied cochlear implants because they were made perfectly in G-d's eyes?

We argue more about circumcision because it is, among other things, a sex organ, but it is a body part over which parents have Dominion, just like any other.
I was circumcised when I was 6. No anesthesia. It was brutal.

That is absolutely inhumane and that doctor should be flogged and no longer allowed to practice.

I have tight foreskin but it has never hurt in masturbation or peeing. I considered circumcision but opted not to. A second opinion from another doctor changed my mind. He told me to just use liquid lubrication if I wanted to get it on anytime.

I don't know if I'll ever get to having sex though. It seems unlikely considering my mental issues that I'll be able to maintain any kind of job enough to get married. Just to clarify, I'm a virgin and only going to have sex if I get married.

I tried to buy a hooker once online but she ended up cheating me by asking for advance money which my horny self paid and then asking for more and more until I realized what was going on. Luckily it wasn't a lot for me but I learnt my lesson. Never again.

I undergo partial circumcision as an adult since the foreskin was too tight to expose completely the glans without discomfort.
It went well, solved the issue and appreciated advantages.
The problem here isn't being circumcised or uncircumcised because ethics etc, since it is a needed procedure in issues like that. The only other option I think it is frenulum lengthening.
The problem is that he unfortunately ended up in the wrong hands.

I got done at 9 because NZlanders used to get it done in the 60s, but not when I was born in 1990. Once I moved to USA my dad wanted me to be more like him. I'm not happy about it. Circumcision is fucked.

Fortunately, there are also doctors who think critically of this procedure.

Phimosis is not even a disease.
If treatment would really be necessary, there would be a variety of alternatives.
Most circumcisions (or other altrations of the genetalia) are performed on children who are completely symptom-free.

In some countries it is performed without sufficient anesthetic or even without it. In Africa, for example, even 18-year-old men are subjected to forced circumcision because they only count as ,,real men'' when they are circumcised. Circumcision was originally invented to reduce sexual feelings and was also used as a slave-branding.

I won't be going into every myth, because it would most likely blow the format of this forum. I just want to say that it is better to get your own picture of male circumcision and not trust the common opinion of doctors and society.

Of course, children are helpless at the decisions of their parents. However, the parents are also hopelessly exposed to the indoctrinations of doctors and society.
I have already lost my belief in ,,common sense'', so I don't blame my parents for what they did to me.

We are by no means alone with our complaints
...Just to mention a few. People who are affected mostly complain solely online, because they are too ashamed, to speak openly about it.

My sexuality is sacred to me, which is why I have no tolerance for alterations of it.
With my suicide, I would like to submit my right of veto, which I was denied in my childhood. This should of course be made public and the motive should be made clear. I don't just want to redeem myself, I also want to draw more attention to the topic. Perhaps this will save one or two children from being mutilated.
