I don't understand why people advocate for this thing, especially some men. It's obviously genital mutilation and ruins lives.

Some people have to. It's the most efficient treatment for certain conditions.

It's possible to get infections from a Virgin partner that are efficiently dealt with that procedure. Sometimes antibiotics just won't do the job and the foreskin is an optimal place for microorganisms to grow (dark, warm, moist)

Religion brought it into popularity and since then the dogma has made people believe it's beneficial when it comes to hygiene but it's a myth.

I had an ex who had that problem or similar and it was fixed by stretching. It's a shame doctors can be so incompetent. It's regrettable that he didn't feel able to talk about his issue with someone.

Yeah. I'd regret it if I wasn't gonna ctb anyway lol. I felt down for a while thinking of that. Could have fixed it but parents forced me out of ignorance. Humans suck.

I haven't done much research into circumcision versus non-circumcision to know all the pros and cons, but in regards to the religious part about it, I will say that part is true. Circumcision came from old religious traditions and it is unfortunate that there is still much stigma in regards to these issues between people in today's society.

Mine was done for med reasons but in America it's a huge practice (reducing nowadays but still) thanks to the religious bastards of Kellogg's that promoted circumcision masked as a healthy decision with the agenda of reducing pleasure of masturbation. It worked.

I saw this yesterday I think and just thought damn how humiliating, obviously he won´t know since he is dead but still.

And it seems people don´t read the article but he killed himself because of constant pain after the surgery, the foreskin is supposed to protect the penis head and without the foreskin there is constant stimulation that is why he killed himself.

I actually suffered from the same as a pre-teen but worked it out with some exercises so I didn´t need to be circumsiced.

@TheGoodGuy Yeah, I thought that he wouldn't have wanted some of it to be published, or at least written in the way that it was. The detail they go into about his genitals is kind of unnecessary or feels a bit intrusive. It would suffice to just say it in a more vague way without talking publicly about very personal medical issues.

"A bit intrusive" that´s an understatement I bet his suicide is a joke to thousands of people that saw that article and imagine all his previous friends or classmates they will always remember him as that guy who killed himself because of problems associated with his penis. I really wish people could sometimes think about the person instead of making it about themselves.

Of course this is a bit complicated because the parents obviously want to warn people about this doctor and the procedure but yeah I am just sure that if the guy knew how he would have been remembered he would roll over in his grave.

A little dramatic. Having suffered from phimosis, circumcision cured that for me. Do I advocate circumcision? Yes. But it should only ever be a personal choice, and never inflicted on any child.

You were circumcised as an adult? I'm asking because I have a fair amount of guilt over having my 18 yr-old son circumcised as an infant. I did the best I could with the information I had at the time, but I wouldn't do it again. He will probably never even think about it, but it should've been his choice. As a nurse, I knew there were some legitimate advantages to having it done, and (I know this will sound terribly superficial) it really did seen "cleaner" and hygienically easier. I read a ton of anecdotal information from adult men describing how pleased they were with their experiences, most of them wishing they'd had it done sooner.

Anyway. Mom guilt. It should have been his choice. I don't see it in as radical a way as describing it as "mutilation," but I wish I had left him alone and I encourage others not to do it, or to at least think about it.

I had my circumsision at 30. Phimosis caused me lots of issues, the main one being splitting (sorry!). No change to function or sensation afterwards. Without any doubt, best thing I did getting it removed, should have done it many years sooner!!

I did read science research which states:

Because the penis head is not protected... it starts to protect itself by producing hard tissue, which is a slow process thus becoming harder and less sensitive with every year going on.

Also parts of the foreskin are the most sensitive part of an intact penis. And significant to experience sex the way it was meant to be for you and your partner - and feeling deep satisfaction.

If you dont wash harsh and destroy skins good bacteria, only water is advised by doctors, there is no chance of getting infection.

Yeah. But if he did it at 30 and didn't notice change that's good. Some people notice others dont. I feel just fine but I never had sex with foreskin so idk lol

Don't believe everything you read! Trust me, 16 years after having my foreskin chopped off, zero complaints.

I will admit the first month after the operation, good god, major sensitivity, that thankfully died down.

When you've had years of your frenulum splitting when, well, when things got excited, circumcision solved not only that pain, but years of insecurity and shame. No regrets!

Since we're all talking about snipped penises today, I felt the need to say that I was circumcised as a baby and I'm glad I never had to deal with a foreskin. I guess I'll never know what it's like, but I don't think it was all so bad. Sad story though. That'd be horrible to go through. I can understand why people would see stuff like this and feel like it's a crude practice. To be fair, it's not the only medical practice that has caused people distress. I've seen a lot of talk lately about how there is a suspected link between Lasik eye surgery and suicide.

Probably inappropriate, but circumcision reminds me of that one scene from Year One....

You don't "deal with a foreskin."... There is nothing negative about the fore skin. It is only GOOD. The penis is made by Allah to be all PERFECT and so my logic says it should not be mutilated. It should also not be called a medical treatment - it is not - it is a tradition on boys and girls. It was advised an act against "sinful" masturbation. Against sexuality and life. The cut penis is not intact and not like nature wanted it to be... I thought about it ... and research... am so into it and sexuality my speciality. Better we say, the brain needs to adjust and learn again... and find a way after the trauma of loosing a very sensitive body part.

And after reading the suicide notes, I am really so sorry for the young men being mislead by the doctor. This doctor should see justice. The young man could have good results with giving the testo hormone cream more time but he waited only a few weeks for the skin to grow. It is proven to work but he should have give it more time and the doctor should have guided him and take responsibility. It is not fair. ;-;

Penis is a god's miracle. And I know for sure, as I am a girl with a penis, transgender, shemale.

I'm not doubting you. I'm just saying I'm one of the probably millions of men who were circumcised. Not everyone has a sob story. I can't say it's ever got in the way of my sex life or masturbating. Doing good. Sounds like nonsense to me to demonize circumcision. Sometimes you see a random horror story and all you can say is shit happens.

Flip side, I'm sure there's probably millions of men who have their foreskins and survive. I do know... and I'm just saying... I never had any of the infections or any of the other problems men with foreskins deal with. I don't feel like I've been traumatized. I have a penis that works. I'm cool. I can't even imagine having a foreskin and having to deal with that shit. Seems like it would suck to have to go through extra steps to clean myself up down there. I'm just saying. It doesn't bother me. I'm glad I'm circumcised.

I have a foreskin and can confirm it is a pain in the ass to clean underneath. Also it's very painful when a pubic hair gets caught and rolled up in it.

That should be easy -- not difficult -- If you are still underage young boy.. give it more time because thats natural development. Otherwise testo gel is used to let it grow... especially in f2m transgender. And it can also boost grow of your penis and penis head  So maybe give it a try in guidance with a doctor and have some positive side effects... you will be verry fond of and we girls will enjoy!!!!!

Sadly sperm quality in todays time not as it was back in time some hundreds years ago.. Men had been more viral and more potent.
hmmmm they sure had beautiful penises and sexy balls :love:uuummmmhhh at least my sexuality and feelings let me forget about my suicidal ideation.... for some moments :'(

Thanks for the tip, but I'm about to turn 30. It's not difficult to clean, but it takes time and dedication. Foreskin creates a dark, warm, moist environment where bacteria and odors easily build up. Also, most girls prefer circumcised penises.

i think that are too many myths. if your skin bacteria is intact and healthy there should no problems. They are part of you and protect you and your penis... from any infection, foreign bacteria and from any odor. That's the reason some doctors recommend washing only with clean water and not using any harsh soup.
