Hello,

I am so very ready to be dead. I have everything I need for a full suspension hanging but I keep chickening out. The only thing keeping me here is the thought of hurting my younger brothers, but everything else is absolutely a wash. I can't keep going like this, but I don't want to die in the house and leave it tainted for them. How much noise would someone completing a full suspension hanging make? I live in a residential area and wouldn't want the agonal breathing to alert anyone.

I wouldn't have thought anyone would be woken up by it, they weren't when I did it, but it's a terrible way to go. Would not recommend.

I understand this but I don't really have any other options. In the US so I can't get SN, and partial has never worked for me. I have tried to OD but only have OTC stuff available to me at this point in time.

It's always best to be completely alone where you attempt. While the sounds aren't too loud, if someone passes by the door/window or is very close, they might hear them.

Your body could even hit a surface near you during the spasms and convulsions phase, creating a noise. So that's also good to keep in mind.

These are the few videos I have where you can hear the agonal breathing in hanging:

Playing music or leaving the TV on can help mask any potential noise.

it's hard to commit… i have a couple of attempts under my belt and this is the only time where I feel like I just can't commit no matter how very badly I need to. I got the gall to step off the chair one time and it fell in such a way that I was still able to stand on it during SI. FML.

Wishing you luck and care

im so sorry your feeling like you have to do this too....wish i had sn but in the uk. I feel like i couldnt do it because i had a window of a few hours but it felt pressured, so like even though i want to do it it still felt like it wasnt my choice. if i cant get sn gonna have to find another time or try the woods again
i dont know why people are saying its a bad way to go, it seems from what ive read if you get it right you should lose conciouness quite fast

What if someone hangs himself in an empty house on the woodbeam which is on the roof truss and there is a tiny window from which one can hear sound from outside. Wouldn't it be impossible for the neighbors to hear anything because outside there's always sound? For example sound from cars or even the weather makes sounds.

In that case, the neighbors wouldn't be able to hear anything. Daily activities generate quite a bit of noise, and I don't think the neighbors are aware of each other's routines/life. People are busy with their own chores.

You might only be able to hear something being very close to the hanging person, like when you can hear footsteps in the room next to yours. It's not something very audible.

In a hotel room where there are people next to you and walking in the hallways, I would take precautions by leaving some background noise/music. And if there are family members at home, I wouldn't risk attempting.
