Lying about your age on here, now I feel awful

I recently messaged with a woman on here and we decided to take the conversation off-site. We kept chatting for a few days and she told me she was 19 - only to suddenly have her ex message me yesterday that she's actually 15! Wtf! I immediately blocked her and thanked him for telling me but what the hell. We didn't chat about anything awful or questionable but now I feel horrible. First of all that someone so young is in so much pain that they seek out such a forum and then that she lied to me. Why would you deceive someone like that? I'd never willingly chat with a minor about such topics.

Anyone else on here had a similar experience before?

She lied to him about being raped and about having an abusive father, lied about her age (told him she was 20), convinced him she lived an alone lonely life w no friends (has tons of friends), faked ctb attempts to get pity from people, when she found out he attempted by jumping she threatened him she would do it too, she had sex w him and was w him for 6 months, she'd even go to stay at his house and live w him, she cheated on him repeatedly by sending pictures of herself online to random guys and apparently even agreed to meet up with a few from Germany to have sex, it's like, a lot

I'm not familiar with her but this is absurd. How did the guy not suspect her of being younger.

Why haven't you reported her?

Not reporting a minor will give you a warning as well.

When I found out and was told she had already posted the confession : ( and by the time I was writing a report the post was taken down

Holy shit that person was my first "friend" on here. I really hope she gets some sort of help... She was genuinely so sweet :( I'm definitely being more careful about who I give advice to now. I really hope anything I said doesn't help her die.

This site has a serious issue with minors bypassing. Mostly because they easily can.
It's usually fairly easy to spot teens by their profiles and talking mannerism but very hard to provide an actual proof of the fact. It's a little sad how often I see such cases
