Simpler, yes. Better, not in my opinion. But of course that also depends on what your sense of humour is.

Community is pretty good, also Modern family, those are the first two off the top of my head. I think the UK version of the Office is probably my favourite comedy show of all time.

And Blazing Saddles is EVERYTHING to me oh my god.

Gene Wilder is fantastic and him with Richard Pyror is unbeatable, a brilliant comedic duo. They're great together in See No Evil, Hear No Evil! Love that movie and also reccomend it for OP.

I'd never seen or heard of this show before, I discovered it while listening to tv show themes from the 80s onwards:



So I thought I could recommend something that's unlikely anyone else has recommended, since it's old. You could also follow the same method as me (listening to just all the tv themes) to find new shows too. A lot of stuff from the past is still very watchable!

I've been watching or listening to this on a second monitor, so it didn't require any concentration from me at all.
