Idk where to post this but I need to get it off my chest. I was in therapy with a therapist for quite a while. I saw her to try and cope with some issues I was having with my then longterm partner (now ex) who was basically sending large sums of money to child romance scammers in developing nations halfway around the world. It was all very disturbing given the fact that the scammers were literally teenagers young enough to be our children... they weren't even alive when my ex and I first started dating and hooked up 
Long story short, I see my therapist today and she tells me it will be our last session as she's received a complaint and has been asked to leave the practice. She said no disciplinary action was taken and I can follow her to her private practice if I'd like. Decided to Google her to see if I could get details on the complaint.
Turns out she had a juvenile patient and she invited the patient to MOVE IN to her damn house with her partner, while continuing to provide therapy to said juvenile and bill them for it. Then, acting as their therapist, rather than caregiver, she tried to have the child involuntarily committed and the child revealed the situation to the case worker at the institution who reported it to the state and obviously the licensure board did not take it well. She's on supervised probation, pending criminal investigation, and she's agreed to 5 years minium of continuing education and monthly check-ins and a bunch of other requirements, assuming she doesn't lose her license due to the pending criminal charges.
Epically disturbed. I trusted this lady with intimate details of my life and expressed my disgust with pedophilic behavior and she just sat there nodding along, no reflection for her own experience. Extensively talked about my disdain for warped dynamics with children and also repetitively talked about how lying/lack of transparency were major triggers for me.
And so it's just kind of shocking to find out she's a straight up pedophile who lied to my face about the situation and withheld totally relevant information, tried to imply her termination was an overreaction and made no mention of any of the details of the publicly available info clearly describing the dynamics she and her spouse had with the adolescent. Feeling hella traumatized. I've seen 50+ mental health providers since childhood and I can't think of a singular instance that ended positively.
Wtf is wrong with people? Why are we forcing people who don't want to be alive into care with crackpots like this? It's just such a mind fuck. This is my second child raping therapist, the other is incarcerated for 20 year minimum. Then I had another therapist who used to bully me and call me ugly to "test" me for "real world scenarios" to gauge my reactivity and found out 10 years later a teenage patient stalked her home and murdered her and her dog and attempted to kill her husband and child. Two extreme scenarios but barely touching the tip of the iceberg with regard to the levels of dysfunction I've experienced in mental health care journey.
If these are the types of people licensed to take care of other people's mental health, we have some serious problems. Anyway, just affirms my belief that therapy is shit and people should have the final say in their choice to live or their choice to die and we shouldn't be stigmatizing that and forcing people to receive "help" from folks who are even more insane in the membrane than them!
