What do you say when someone tells you it'll be okay?
When I confide in others about my problems and pain the response is often the hopeful reassurance of "it'll be okay", but what do they know? It's as if they offer a bandage of an invisible wound. I know that they mean it to comfort, but they don't understand the depth of the storm raging within. It's not that they don't mean well, but their well-intentioned solace feels distant, unable to fully understand the deep hurt or not sure how to make things better. It echoes like an empty promise, leaving behind an ache that no words can heal. Their attempts to comfort, while well-intentioned, can sometimes highlight the profound loneliness I feel, as if no one truly comprehends the weight of the burden carried in the heart.
I just wish someone could understand.
