Sometimes I just want to quit my job and live off the government. Working a 9 to 5 when there are people in our country that do nothing and still manage to get by frustrates me to the point of anger.

I know i'm being irrational but the desire to escape my reality is so powerful that id be willing to sacrifice what little I have just to catch a real break.

Use this post to vent about how you feel about your job or if u are currently living a government dependant life.

it is understandable to want and need rest but the money people get is hardly anything to live on. Plus if it is granted on the basis of a disability, well, disabilities are no fun to live with (and the disabilities usually have to be deemed pretty severe for payments to be granted). Plus it is horrible for your self-esteem and perhaps they are doing something even if it not earning an income (which you can still do up to a point).

having a full time job sucks.
wanting to work but get rejected or ghosted for every job opportunity sucks.
living on government assistance sucks as well.

i would know……..

No shame in living off the government. If the government wants to deny easy access to peaceful methods, then it has to pay up.

It's genuinely my long term plan to quit my job and live off welfare. My medical records should be enough proof of my mental illness that I should qualify for at least 1 type of disability benefit (there are 2 types in the UK) I just want to move out of my bf's house and then this is what I'm doing. I won't be able to afford to eat that often but I'll manage

My longer term plan is CTB

Disability pay sucks its around 600$-1200$ a month . It takes like 3 years to get and you cant work at all during that time. You will be denied multiple times , have to get a lawyer and go before a judge and have lots of medical records. I had to fry my brain with electroschock therapy to even be be accepted for it
