"Little-Miss Soon-to-Die"
All but useless in the eyes of this cruel world
A world that feigns ignorance,
Lest they beleive her; lest they hear her cries
Closing their eyes so they don't see her suffering,
After all, there's no truth if you only beleive in lies
"It's like that all the time."
"I see it every day."
"I hear that too often."
"That's what they always say."
Spewing cold tautologies as if they were parables
Why would they want to expend "unnecessary" effort
On this "Little-Miss Soon-to-Fly"
With an affinity for the air beneath her feet
The harsh grasp around her neck
Is that of a merciful rope
Cutting off the life-giving air she so needed
Just as the world took away the hope
From this "Little-Miss Suck-It-Up"
A poor soul told far too many times to just deal
Given band-aids for stab wounds
And a pat on the back for her suffering
She'll never get recognition for her pain
And her wounds that time will never heal
Ignored and abandoned in favor of her tormentors
Screw them all, they'd never understand how she feels
"Tattletale!"
"Snitch!"
"Stupid little bitch!"
Shattering "Little-Miss Well-to-Do,"
Always looking down on her,
It was a long time coming
Don't try to apologize now,
It's far too late
We know you hated her, didn't you?
You clearly feared nothing then,
So why do you cry out now?
All because she never fought back,
And believe me, she knew how
She had fierce eyes and a sharp tounge
But you took the wind from her sails,
The air straight out of her lungs
Where's all that courage of yours gone?
Weren't you "just having some fun"?
Just some "tag, you're it"?
You knew exactly what you were doing,
Don't hand me that shit
You know enough to know what you've done
You're just too dumb to know when to quit
Just a game, you say?
I say that's a lie
All in good fun, eh?
I'd believe it,
But pigs like you never fly
It's a new game now, and you'd better run
It's a new round, and your last day
"Little-Miss End-It-All" will finally have her say
Blade in hand, flames lapping at her feet
Eyes once shut tight now opened,
Wounds still fresh in her mind
A target turned assailant, hardened by her defeats
If forgiveness is what you desire,
Then look down, you'll find it in Hell's eternal fire
"Little-Miss High-and-Mighty"
She was always better than you, though you'd never agree
She'll finally triumph over this cruel world
She'll finally fly without her noose of sorrow
Happy and free, she'll look back on this cruel world
And be the one to watch it fall.
Yes, the poem my username was derived from.
Honestly at this point I'm just posting my poems here because the ones I do post are part of the "Mind", "Body", and "Soul" trilogies that I plan on finishing before I even THINK of offing myself
