Hi,
I need help in making a ligature that will work and fast. The mega thread hasn't helped and I ended up in a psych ward the day before yesterday, due to failing with a ligature. I've managed to secure rope(ie, shoelaces, clothing, leather cord) in a door hinge or to a tree, on my end is a slip knot. I put all my pressure into it and fell and it gets to a point where it won't tighten even if I am using my full body weight and I still can't pass out, I just feel like my throat is tight . I can't find my artery and have tried leaning my head back, arching forwards etc.

I see that people can use bedsheets, belts etc, but they never seem to place enough pressure for me to even get dizzy. What am I doing wrong?

I have heard about padding but how do I do this so it still puts pressure on the artery? I can't afford to end up in the psych ward again. Losing my job and now stuck indoors due to it all, and the police found all my resources for other methods if ligaturing did fail.

I need help, I need this to be successful. I can't afford for it to fail again. Even debating full suspension at the moment; but I cannot find any suitable rope for it. Any suggestions. (UK)

Had you tried leaning towards side of your neck? If I'm not wrong, it is where your caretoid artery passes through.

Yeah, both sides. It just becomes painful and I don't pass out but I always have had difficult passing out with challenges etc. I just don't have many options at home.
