Life is so unnecessary

That thought has crossed my mind a lot of times by now. This whole thing is so... dispensable. The Universe managed fine without life. Unnecessary to the point of becoming ridiculous. Yet here we are, powerless to do anything of true substance. Sure, it may all be completely futile, but you will lose your sanity regardless, just because it's possible. And death doesn't solve the issue either. All of us are just stuck here, I guess.

The fact that consciousness exists has got to be an error, it's so meaningless for things to live. The moral quandaries associated with consciousness and the levels of suffering it can go through honestly screw me up sometimes.

And that's not even unique to human consciousness who knows what kind of hellish sufferings conscious organisms of all types from the animal kingdom or even cells might be experiencing from their POV. Scares the heck out of me. The fact that I can even ponder the nature of consciousness unlike animals with lesser developed cognitive capacities is scary too. Who knows how much more devises of suffering we could endure as we evolve as a species well.

Here's to reincarnation not being real and our consciousness not persisting after death, here's to quantum immortality not being a thing. Here's to the "universe must always have an observer" theory being wrong. Cos fuck.

It's accepted that the uni/multi-verse will be fine with or without this planet, much less individual "us" so why bother worrying about it? There is no God that cares about anyone, no matter how fervently you may pray/beseech/swear obedience to. The Andromeda galaxy will still spin if we Humans poison ourselves with pollutants or turn the Earth into a radioactive inferno. I've turned my back on it all and just worry about myself and those few I care about since this is all I have any effect on. I keep informed but all I can do is prepare my best to survive until such time as I decide I'm too tired to continue.

Life itself is utterly pointless and meaningless. This is why people crave distraction from the true nature of life. Just look at the entertainment industry and how massively successful it is. Even people who are not suffering like those of us on this forum are constantly seeking distractions from the soul crushing reality of this boring, yet brutal world.

I understand how you feel about describing all this

Indeed, when the human mind is pushed into its deepest reasonings, very often we realise that this world is only a decoy to give ourselves reasons to exist

But very often, this kind of reasoning is what reaches the mind of people who suffer and question themselves, on the reasons to still exist

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think I understand your exhaustion, your loss of motivation and absence of pleasure linked to what you have been enduring on your life ❤

Even if philosophically I agree with you, I think that there is always something to contribute when the heart is obviously there

That's my view but I think that, in one way or another, we all have something to contribute to this universe

And so do you ❤

I guess the pain is too intense for you to tell yourself that today, I understand, it's normal, I would've think the same thing if I was suffering like you

But I tell myself that one day, when your pain is behind you, you will be able to, thanks to the qualities you have, thanks to your character, thanks to your experience, I I believe in it

To bring things in one way or another to this life

The idea of something like reincarnation that has no end or eternal recurrence is absolutely horrifying to me. The same consciousness unable to ever rest. Stuck in one body after another, or the same body repeatedly. Experiencing what is essentially an infinite amount of pain, but unable to remember all of it and incapable of breaking the cycle. I know there's no credible evidence to support consciousness being transferred like that, but the concept alone terrifies me.

Of course the existence of life is unnecessary. There was never a need for life to exist in the first place and yet it does, with all it's endless problems and suffering that will continue to exist as long as life does. To me this is tragic, and I believe life to be such a terrible and useless concept, it serves no purpose, it just exists for the sake of existing. None of this has any value as human life is just a consequence of evolution and it's a cruel mistake how life is able to exist. At least for me death does solve everything, as I believe that once we die we simply cease to exist, where we are not even aware that we are dead. Yes, life will continue to exist for other beings and this is horrible to think about but once we are gone we will not have to experience any of it.

To die removes the cause of all our problems in the first place, the true problem for me will always be life itself. I personally believe that regardless of the circumstances, it's always preferable to not exist. Consciousness is a curse and a prison, and those who see suicide as being wrong are insane. The existence of life is absolutely horrifying.
