Ever wonder about how life would've been if you hadn't been traumatized as a kid? (For those who were)
Imagine no endless spirals of rumination. Just being able to get up, go to the gym, go to school or work etc., not have any of that mental background noise — "I'm so lonely", "I hate my life", etc.
Socializing without the anxiety.
Not reading into every interaction. "They made that face, so they must hate me and I'm repulsive"….
I have Borderline as a result of my childhood trauma (as you can probably tell). A quiet brain, where I don't take everything so personally, sounds like heaven.
Unfortunately, I don't think a quiet brain is possible for me in this lifetime. But, it's bittersweet to imagine.
