• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

More I think about CTB I consider what happens to my existence. Do I continue living in another plane? Do I go to hell? Heaven? Ascend into an astral plane, sort of the dmt realm I suppose? Do I just wake up from a dream in another reality as the same person? A different person? Do I get to start over and do things different or travel forwards? If I live once more after CTB would I just end up doing it again? So many ideas of how it could go and somehow I don't find any of them pleasant. Even the idea that there is absolutely nothing and my existence ceases, which is seemingly the most popular idea, doesn't sound pleasant. In fact it is the most difficult for me to wrap my head around, though that is obviously because something not existing in any capacity is a struggle for us to grasp, I mean, once you know something IS you can't un-know it's being. Hopefully that makes sense. I'll say it another way,
Once we know something to exist, we can never fully imagine it to not exist.
Maybe I'm wrong though but I'm pretty sure that's right
Not sure the point of this thread just ideas

We've always "been" since we were born. None of us have experienced not being here because it isn't anything to experience, it's just nothing. There's some people who have died for a few seconds that were revived and they also say it's just nothing. Just like you're not aware that you're sleeping, you just wake up at a certain point. I look forward to this nothing though. Just finally nothing.

Interesting to think about, I like this topic.

Imo a human is just a brain , cells , the continuation of a chemical reaction, a brain = a machine. A brain is just weighted neural networks which is what chatgpt is .

Does chatgpt, a cat, a car , a bird , a laptop a robot have a soul or afterlife ? No . Imo a human is no different .

Chatgpt is a computer program

After death is non-existence forever.

A fish, bird , dog , monkey etc has all the same brain parts a human has like the brain stem . All neurons , cells identical

AGI , super ai , gpt-5 will far surpass the weak human brain soon .
I'm atheist but I read that most Christians believe in heaven or hell. Odd that I don't find mention of heaven hell or afterlife in the Bible :

There are quite a few people who die and come back, and say they experienced something as well though. Near death experiences seem very common in fact.

I can't say I feel sure about my belief/ non belief in life after death. I suppose the most difficult concept for me to grasp is being reincarnated as the same person- because presumably- that means our parents would need to be also and- everyone else in the world. So- for everybody that has died, a new world would have to exist somewhere for their unique timeline to begin again.

Or- I suppose some people believe that only the essence of 'us' is reincarnated into something new. That maybe makes more sense. If it's some religious process, maybe we are supposed to be learning something. But- What? What could we all be working towards? And, why? Surely- there would be a reason if we are meant to be learning something. Considering how many billions of years the earth has existed- shouldn't we be better or nicer by now? Assuming we are supposed to be developing into better beings.

Heaven or hell for eternity seems a bit extreme but if there is a God- chances are they are sadistic- just look at how this world has been created!

I feel like nothing is the most likely. I hope there will be nothing to be honest. I've had enough of existence. It's not like we have nothing to compare it to though. I imagine it's like deep sleep or anaesthetic. Just without the waking up bit!

I think there simply is nothing. But I always liked surprises, so on way or another - everyone will find out.

There is a strong correlation between higher IQ and experiencing mental illness. So these super computers may just figure out even faster than some of us have, that life is essentially pointless, and simply self-destruct. :haha:

I very strongly believe that we cease existing and this comforts me, I see beauty in eternal nothingness. I see existence as being a tragic disturbance in what would otherwise be the most ideal state of non-existence, only nothingness is what I desire and see as being acceptable, existence and all the harm it causes is what I despise.
