Let's tally the votes

Who here thinks that SN will allow you to CTB if you use meto, drink a second dose if you throw up, and no one finds you? Who thinks that there isn't enough evidence on how lethal it is or that it isn't effective? Please explain why you have come to your conclusion. I have been reading about this non stop and there are some people who think that the "assumed successful" attempts on this website could be wrong for various reasons. It almost seems like there isn't enough evidence or that the evidence that is available isn't accurate. I plan on taking SN in a little over a week and I am nervous that it won't work and will be put on suicide watch.

My honest opinion to your question is that you could survive it for sure. As with many methods. However obviously the more preparations you have, you would increase likelihood of dying. Suicide takes courage. People should be picking a method they trust. Also I do notice people on here failing with SN. I hate when they get attacked for sharing their stories.
Sometimes I see this site as the SN site because of its popularity here.

Thank you for replying! I plan on taking meto and fasting which are the two most important parts of increasing the effectiveness. It's difficult to weigh out which method would be the best for me because they all have different pros and cons that don't have corresponding value. SN seems to have the most pros but I just hope it doesn't fail. What is your preferred method and why did you choose it if you don't mind me asking?

My preferred method is assisted dying... no joke. But very difficult.
My previous attempts were hanging. And lying on train tracks. No joke, the train came when I got back in the car. I was thinking you gotta be fucking kidding me. I lied on the tracks for an hour.

Assisted is very difficult to get. I'd rather use a shotgun or jump off a building before being hit by a train but those methods are also less desirable than SN or hanging. Did you do partial or full suspension?

I did what I expected to be a full suspension. But my feet touched the ground. I assumed because the ceiling was taller than me it would work fine. It did not.
Yes, a gun would be nice. Actually better that Nembutal. No fasting just dying.
With the train I was just lying with my head on the track. That method doesn't scare me at all. You aren't coming back. But jumping from heights scares me. It's funny that we all seem to fear a particular method.

Make sure the place you jump from is reeeeally high up, you do NOT want any chance of survival. Travel out of town if you have to. I wish I was more okay with heights but that method terrifies me. It is such a simple and reliable way to go. Since your method is so simple, what is keeping you from doing it now?

It is high. Beachy Head. The main reason why I can't do it now is that it's the distance between there and where I live.

I'm interested to know why you wouldn't do the Nembutal method. Because some people get desperate for it. I find it interesting that your like the first person I've heard to be like no.

Haha, isn't that funny! I was just thinking that! Whaaa? Shotgun would still be terrifying and if you survive, that would be THE WORST. It's easy to think you would have no problem unloading a buckshot into your brain right now, but when you go to do it, you'll realize how terrifying it really is. Nembutal is quick, painless, and extremely low chance of survival. Plus it's not violent and you don't leave a mess for other people.

That's actually one of the methods I would do the most research on because there are plenty of people who have failed doing it. There are plenty of wrong ways to do it but the consensus is that putting the gun in the mouth and pointing it at the brain stem is most effective. I know what you mean about the sitting around waiting for privacy though. There are definitely ways around that.

It is why I chose, but requires knowledge of technical aspects, good for me, but not most people.
Due to technical, the method does have a lot of things that can go wrong. Again, another tradeoff.

This is probably the biggest drawback to using a gun. While it is one of the most reliable methods, it also provides the worst consequences if you are extremely unlucky, and fail.

SN, N and inert gas methods are very forgiving if you do fail. National Institute of Health has documentation near death when treated for SN poisoning with Methylene Blue, and patient had full recovery, with no long term neurological damage.
