I think a republic built by SS members is sheer genius!!! It's fodder for a brilliant fiction book. Some might call the island a cult but where would the government, laws, population, rules, more's and psychology take us on such a place? Say it had a limited population, was funded by donations, had a limited "stay" and was staffed by members who were volunteer visa holders. You come, you may stay for up to 30 days and have access to humane methods, after 30 days you are gently asked to depart and not in any threatening or mean way. During your up to 30 day stay you have access to humane ways to catch the bus. Locate the island close to a super deep offshore place where burial at sea can happen. Murder is not allowed. Call it the country of Euthan-Asia. Visas are reviewed by the island volunteers who are also on limited stay. Facilities are clean and Spartan and dignified.

Imagine if it worked. If such a place for contemplation, getting affairs emotionally and mentally in order, humane methods that were lethal, support during the actual event, respect of DNR. Where would we evolve if such a place existed? Would such a place eventually be invaded and destroyed? I could see this one being an award winning book on psychology.

Seriously, though, there is some money to be made in online money lending, the problem is that it's relatively slow, so I can't exactly take a massive loan for this and wait it out. I got out of massive debt because I freaked out over my medical issues. Barely got out of it alive.

But then again, I also have about 5k* trapped in there, and pulling it out would mean losing roughly 600*$

My only way out of this is to wait about 4.6 years now.

I'm not thinking a cult. I was thinking of a place. And it doesn't have to be completely perfect. Bikini atoll with the leftover radiation would be fine if you think about it!

And you're not killed. You just have an opportunity to either stay for up to x days and then are asked to leave or you may stay for up to Y days to help on the island, care for visitors and maintain the serenity and peace. No murder or capital punishment or whatever else are the dark concerns of horror films. Can the vision exist?

Well just a reminder that if you borrow money/take out a loan then all monies are paid from your estate (items you own/money you have) or money you have gifted for the last few years. But the money cannot be recovered from your next of kin so you can actually just lend the money from places regardless of the APR (no plan to pay it back) and wah-la! Money for the not-a-cult-cult. This is only true if you actually die though. They'll come for you if you don't and won't lend it to you if you make it known what you want it for.
