Why would knowing how a virus spreads create panic? It's just information.

The reason it's getting so much attention is because of how infectious it is. It's a virus like none we've encountered before. And because the virus is novel, there so much we don't know about it yet. It's also shown signs of mutation. The reaction has been so dire because all vulnerable people (older adults, people with weakened immune systems and people with preexisting conditions) are in very real danger. This is and extremely large number of people. Also some people who aren't obviously vulnerable are in danger as well. I'm not saying the media isn't a bit much at times (the 24 hour news cycle is poison) but it's for a good reason. Deaths in younger people are rising too. We don't fully understand how it kills yet either. There are so many unknowns about this virus that it is prudent to be overly cautious. There is a fine line between fear mongering and telling people difficult truths.

I read a book by an epidemiologist and he had an interesting anecdote. There was an outbreak of some virus at a high school and he was doing a presentation to the teachers and parents. Near, the end he told them the virus could be fatal and people will most likely die. Afterwards the principal was mad, he was like: Why would you say that, you're just fear mongering. A few days later a student died.

How do I know this? LOL How does one gather knowledge? I spend my days on my computer, reading, watching information videos, researching, reading news reports, learning. It's called being educated, which happens mostly by reading.

You can try to be patronising or even clever.
Pls share the scientific source that has proved that covid 19 stays in the air for six hrs once breathed out, without it falling to the ground. A lot of us read on hear but don't talk in fact about opinion.

I can't go to the doctors office, dentists office, into the DMV to renew my driver's license, into a grocery store, into a bank, into a salon to get a haircut, take a vacation and stay in a motel, sit out by a swimming pool, be in a room with people, all due to covid. How dare you dismiss it this way. My life is over because of it. I do not want to die on a ventilator.

Some people my age do go out and do things but it's only a matter of time before they catch it. I'm in a place where over 2500 people a week catch it. I don't know if you have an idea of what it does to people.

I am...literally from Italy? We have had 36k deaths and 80k active cases, I saw coffins being taken away on military tanks. I'm not dismissing the damn illness, I only hate the media talking about it 24/7.
Also I don't recall how you can't go there since I'm going out alone with a mask, disinfecting my hands, respecting social distances and I'm immunocompromised!
I'm not saying "it isn't that much", I've never said that, I'm saying the italian media talks about it everyday everyhour every minute someone talks about being infected.
I'm severely depressed, my father became depressed due to covid, my aunt became totally crazy and my uncle became depressed too. I can't make my father watch tv because he will freak out over infections and deaths. Am I allowed to say they SHOULD talk about it but no every minute of tv?

What you have shared there suggests that when somebody breaths out the virus, the droplets stay in the air for 6 hrs.
I've asked you to back it up as this could terrify people who are already scared of leaving the house. And it might not be true.
Granted if you have read a lot you might not know the website. But surely a quick Google search would find the particular study?
If you are gonna state somrething as a fact its only fair that people can ask where you got the facts from if they doubt it.

Covid is NOT airborne, and this was well known from March (the French leading expert on infectious deceases Didier Raoul who first used Chlorokin to treat Corona said it in early March). The WHO and the farmakoindustry did everything to ruin this guy, who provided the world with a medicine which costs 3EUR per person, while they wanted a 300EUR medicine.
It's all about the money and the power.

I've only been able to find resources saying the virus can live in the air for up to three hours. Another thing I've noticed is that all of the experts speak about this virus with uncertainty. Even in that article they are vary cautious about saying with certainty how long it can live in the air. There are things we know about it but so much that we don't. Being informed and healthy skepticism are our best tools imo.
