Last Day of Work

Well, today is the day I pick up my last paycheck and leave the job. No sadness here. Looking forward to my drive - I'll be starting up tomorrow early and driving through. Saturday I'll see my little girl again. I cannot leave Sweet Pea behind and no one will take her (no one that I trust) so she will be coming with me. Please don't judge me. I am doing the best I can. I'll keep you all posted until I have no internet access. So glad today is the last day. So glad this shitty life will be over. I am so tired of waking up and wondering what I have to deal with on that day. My hate is growing rapidly towards certain people. Especially myself.

Sorry, I know you asked for no judgement but it's hard not to judge someone for abandoning an innocent animal.

I specifically waited until my cat died before I ctb. She gave me nearly 20 years, passed away last month with cancer. I could not imagine abandoning her. I tried to find her a home desperately because of how I wanted to ctb, but could not find a home with anyone I trusted. I opted to wait it out. In the end, I am glad I did. I got to be with my baby right up until the end, she didn't have to be taken in by strangers to her. You can always die later.

I also thought it was a human daughter at first. I understand the decision though. I love animals and if I had a dearly beloved pet and knew nobody to trust said pet with I would take him/her with me too if possible, no matter how hard it would be.

Euthanising a pet is routine in this society, yet when a human chooses to self-euthanise and bring their pet along, suddenly it is 'bad' and 'wrong'. Ignore people who say things like that. yeah, when they are sick, when they are at the end of their natural lives, not because they become an inconvenience to their owner. There are several organizations working to close and ensure shelters are no-kill shelters, so that animals won't be euthanized just because.

This is a good idea. You can give her to a no-kill shelter to find a new loving family.

I havent ctb because of my dogs and I know my daughter or son would take them if I did.

Keep on for a while until you find a no-kill shelter or organization that can take her

Even if you can't find someone to rehome her or don't trust anyone to take care of her properly; you shouldn't euthanize your cat because of those things. Cats are independent and can take care of themselves, they aren't helpless like many dogs that were bred to just be adorable.
