  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I want to know the best ways to kill yourself from cutting and what to use to do it. (I picked cutting because I know I can do it because I cut before lots of times. It actually hurts less the deeper I go. The first cuts hurt the most) I can't do other things like hanging or anything that stops breathing im to scared to do anything like that.

I'm not even 100 percent sure I want to die at all. I'm like 50/50. But I wanted to see what stuff I can do if I want to die

If your 50/50 right now I'd suggest trying to work through things a bit more. If leaving just seems like a good "option" then I don't believe it's the right choice. Like the one post says, suicide is permanent. And cutting just like many other methods can go horribly wrong. Please don't be upset with my comments. I don't believe anyone should have to suffer living. I know how I feel about it…/

It's just that I tried so many things and everything makes me feel worse not better. I tried so much things. Really I just get worse not better. And I'm also scared of my brain sometimes

I struggle like that too so you are not alone. Today I woke up like I did the last several weeks. Only to go downstairs and lay on the couch with no energy to do anything. I live a miserable existence. No job, unable to work because of mental health, wife of 19 years just filled for divorce, will lose my home soon. Believe me I know what it feels like…

I'm only passing on what I've heard, so I'm not massively knowledgeable but I believe cutting isn't a very reliable method to ctb. I think the issue is having the strength and pain tolerance to cut deeply enough. There's also the issue that if you go for the wrists, one hand will then not have the strength to cut the other wrist- I just don't know how long it takes to bleed out.

If it's unsuccessful, there's also the risk of nerve damage and obviously big scares.

I guess people have managed to do it in the past but it just sounds so gruesome and painful to me- but then, I'm really squemish.

I do understand your predicament though- it was the first method I truly considered- alongside OD-ing on paracetamol (also extremely unadvisable). I'm so sorry life has brought you here. Honestly though- even if you're a little unsure, please don't do anything impulsive as you could potentially make things a lot worse for yourself.

It calls hypovolemic shock. Here is what I found. Seems quite peaceful.

In the initial phases of the development of hypovolemic shock, the patient is in a semi-conscious state, feels general weakness, nausea, thirst; there is tachycardia; the skin is pale, with a cyanotic tint that increases with increasing hypoxia, and visible pinpoint microhemorrhages in the development of DIC (disseminated intravascular coagulation, multiple thrombosis). Certain mental disorders may be observed, for example, agitation, panic, or, conversely, anosognosia (misunderstanding of the severity of symptoms, "denial of the disease"), which are quickly replaced by signs of deep depression of higher nervous activity. Severe bradycardia, a failed decrease in blood pressure, lack of consciousness, DIC, coma are typical and prognostically extremely unfavorable symptoms of the terminal stage of hypovolemic shock (as, indeed, of any other shock state).

From what I have heard, this method just sounds so painful and unreliable. I guess that for method research all that anyone can do is look at the information in the resources section and there is also a search function when you have a few more posts. I'm sorry that you are in this situation and I understand having limited access to methods, its why I am still alive. Hanging also scares me and that is why I have never attempted. I hope that in whatever happens, you find relief from your suffering.

How do you find the search thing to look on?

Can you just cut one not both?
