Quite big news over here. It was totally unexpected, but he went through a public divorce with the princess of Norway, and it's known that he suffered from depressions and panic attacks. He was an interesting troublemaker and it's a bit sad that his life would end like this.
Usually, they try to cover up celebrity suicides in mass media, as to not inspire suicidal people. IIRC, It was not acknowledged that Avicii had committed suicide until two weeks had passed. It's easy to figure it out anyway if no cause of death is stated, though. As for the method, there are rumours that he hanged himself, but they are unsubstantiated and probably not true. The method might never be revealed.
I'm quite surprised there's no big thread about celebrity suicides. Probably for the better, though.
