Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Tried this by sheer accident, completely unintended, last month. I was in ketosis for about 3 weeks or so because I was messing around with longer periods of fasting (about half of Febuary was just water for me in total), and I thought "Why not avoid carbs completely because I don't want to spike my insulin"(I bet this is probably confused somehow, I don't understand nutrition very well). But yeah 3 weeks of no sugar, and... I really did notice an improvement in mood. At week 3 even my weekly appointment with my therapist was more upbeat.

And then.... I had carbs, I forget what, probably some bread. And then... ice cream, because now that I had bread, why not? And I felt like such shit... it was more fascinating than anything because I've tried a couple of addictive drugs before for longer periods of use(but never felt like I was truly "addicted", even smoking a pack for a year, or several drinks a day for several years, a few other addictive substances, etc), and nothing honestly felt "dirtier" than sugar in that moment. Not only did I not feel good getting the sugar, I felt horrible after it. Like I was drugged, but with no positive upside.

Kind of blew my mind. But... I realize that people can differ body chemistry wise, so... people will just have to experiment with this for themselves. One problem is I think things like this really show you if they work in the longer term. So about 2 or 3 months would be my guess, that should show most people if this is something for them. And... that's just hard, being totally realistic. I definitely struggle with any kind of consistency and I imagine most people are similar.
