A little background I did minimal sh as a teen never cutting but any excuse for injury I'd take it. I didnt start really getting into it until I was in my early 20s, I would mostly burn myself as the injury would stay painful for days or longer. I also would plan and make designs with the burns as some form of excuse. Eventually started cutting to replace that as my thighs were mostly covered in burn scars. I have a patch where I exclusively cut now. My question is I keep running out of room and get impatient waiting for the cuts to heal to do more. Is it okay to cut over healing wounds? I always cut in the same direction. Maybe I'm OCD but I still want my scars to look nice, that rippled water look. Can I keep cutting or will I make certain areas scar worse than others? Also never big gashes just enough a few cuts would open a tiny bit. Not new to self harm but relatively new to cutting.

it's okay to cut over healing wounds, but it might also make the wound a bit deeper or wider.
