U can do a medical abortion at home. I've recently had one as I am not fit to have another baby. It was a hard thing to do but it was for the best. Hugs❤️

Whoa. That's pretty heavy.

Sounds like you've got your mind made up, and I'm the absolute last person to try and weigh in with an opinion here (if you only knew...!) even if I had one (which I don't), so I'll just wish you all the peace and courage I can imagine.

I wish I was aborted, to not have to go through the trauma of having to do it myself.

Ah, jeez. So sorry you hafta deal with that. Don't delay... depending on where you are, you can be given a dose of Mifepristone (Cytotec) so you won't have to go the surgical route.

Is this going to be your first abortion? I unfortunately aborted all of my children because I was never in a position where I felt comfortable bringing the child to term in a stable situation. I mostly regret not having been able to establish a healthy relationship with a guy so that in the event of pregnancy I wasn't running to the abortion clinic in an effort to avoid single motherhood. Anyway, sorry this is no help. I just really sympathize with u because abortion stays with u forever. It's not like u just get an abortion and it's as though that little being didn't exist. I experience a lot of despair over my lost children. Initially after abortion u feel relieved but down the road u might experience unexpected grief and loss.

I wish i could have a baby, in infertile. My partner who died in may had been steralised 10years ago so it coukd be reversed. We started the adoption process and a month later she died. I wish i could pay someone to have a baby for me, it hurt being on a psych waed with people who had kids, one woman was pregnant and planning to abort it ripped me apart. If my partner and i coukd have had a child or been abke to adopt she would still be here, wed still be planning our wedding and i wouldnt be sat here waiting for my SN to arrive so i can die. I understand people choice in aborting just wish i could take their child and raise it as my own

It would make more women go through with a pregnancy to give to someone else if the compensation was enough. This is often why I think more women choose abortion. There's so much more to lose and sacrifice if u have to go through that entire pregnancy, just to have to give the child up that u had to carry for many months with compensation only for the time u are pregnant. Pregnancy can really wreak havoc on the body and mind, employment. Yea I know what people will say, that it's wrong to pay women well to have babies for other people but if u hate abortion you would want to create incentives to reduce women making that choice and offer very attractive options that would make women be more willing to give up a child for adoption to a nice stable family.

Not me. I'm genuinely sorry that you still carry that guilt and regret with you; that hurts my heart to hear. But some of us dont; I terminated a pregnancy at 18 and never looked back; it would have derailed my life, and I have no regrets.

I know loads of women who had abortions and never regretted it. There's nothing worse than bringing another unwanted child into this sick world.

I had one at 25 and I am happy about it. No way would I bring a kid to have the same genetic issues I have or even have one in the first place. I took precautions that did not work at the time.

Do what will bring you the most peace. Good luck with everything.

The issue with abortion is that most people only view it in terms of how it benefits you in the immediate situation. I'm not saying that it's not a huge inconvenience to get pregnant at a young age when u had other plans or for other inconvenient circumstances. There's bigger issues that come with easy to access abortion that most people don't see. It actually has a huge negative impact on gender relations, on the economy. Believe it or not all those abortions since it became legalized changes demographics and it does not help the economy. If I said the real reasons indiscriminate, easy access abortion is damaging to society it would piss a lot of people off. So I'll leave that out. I'm glad for those of you who were not damaged by abortion. I suspect the reason I'm more hurt is because I ended up never having kids because abortion was indiscriminately available for any reason. I was always on the fence about having kids because of my terrible childhood but when a baby became a choice it complicated things. The reason abortion is funded by the state has little to do with liberating women that's all I'm saying. It's a much more sinister reason that it is so easy to access abortion. Something many people don't know is that planned parenthood sells the fetal tissue and creates products that help rebuild the body with it. I mean I figured my fetus is just disposed of but they use the tissue and do stuff with it. It was disturbing to find this out. I heard it's very difficult for a woman to get a tubal ligation when young and I suspect that this is the real reason. Why would u legalize making it ok to abort all your babies rather than if a woman never wants kids just give them a permanent birth control to prevent abortions in the first place. Most birth control on the market has unpleasant side effects and can actually be risky to use. So abortion is being used as birth control and for harvesting the baby parts for other purposes.

We get a pass, by virtue of having been 18. I have two (gorgeous, brilliant) teenagers now; I'm still staunchly pro-child, pro-family, and pro-choice.

That's good to hear.

I'm leaving some money to planned parenthood...can't forget the kindness of those doctors and nurses who performed the procedure when I was a lost and poor 18 year old.

And I've been receiving care from them ever since, even when I was insured, paying market prices (had an IUD inserted and it was $1000 about 10 years ago) because I want to support their mission, it's so critically important for woman and children and families.

Sorry that had to happen for you. You know what is best for you. Just take care of yourself : )
Make sure that if you are using any kind of meds for suicide that you allow your body time get rid of what ever is used for abortions. Or make sure those meds don't interfere with what you want to use.
Also- this is a great excuse to ask for some antiemetics .... use it.

I'm 20 weeks, and I've spent most my pregnancy in bed. I just want to die. And I feel so selfish cause my kids are not enough to make it go away. I don't blame you. What's ctb mean?

Sorry to hear that, I hope you feel better soon. As for CTB it means "catch the bus" an expression for killing oneself.
