Hi all!

I have been lurking for a while and finally made an account.

I am extremely suicidal and that lead to completely destroying my life and my parents. My parents love me in their own way but they too have pushed me to the moment even without actively trying to.

I plan to jump of a building, I have access to 8 and 9 stories one. I have read that one loses conscious when they hit the ground and the body blocks the pain.
I have read a lot of news about people dying by jumping from the 9th or 8th floor, so I guess it is a matter of just doing it. Any other "success" stories would be appreciated.

This is a complete rational decision yet I am having a hard time pushing through. I always knew I'd by suicide, but it has proven pretty difficult to make the final leap.

Are there any practical advise or setup I could do in order to boost my courage and take the leap?

Many thanks.

I tried doing it once from 23rd story I couldn't. Maybe have sedatives or anti anxiety medication or something to have the courage to do it. Although IDK if 9th floor is high enough for the body to completely block the pain since there's a small chance your brain is still active unlike from higher floors.

While that sounds like it's probably high enough, there was a member here… I'm trying to remember her username. She CTB'd recently with SN after being confined to a wheelchair bc she jumped from what I think she said was the 8th floor. They wanted to amputate her leg & so she wanted to CTB before things got even worse. Sorry, just something to consider… is it really high enough.

From what I have read landing on concrete should cause immediate death. Those who survived seem to had landed on cars or encountered trees that broke their fall. 9 floors seems high. A classmate of mine jumped 10 floors and died instantly some years ago.

I would appreciate any suggestions of how to overcome SI and just jump. I am pretty convinced I want to die.

Any stories about successful jumpers would be highly appreciated.

Hello, I don't know you but I hope you don't mind me pushing my way way into your topic because I lost my son to suicide and he jumped off of a building. I honestly can't say anything about courage etc. and wouldn't because this is a horrible way to go. Please know that you need the courage not to suicide yourself for the pain you will cause ALL of them. It's also devastating for the people who witness the act and those who have to clean it up, not to mention what it will do to your family and friends. The police who have to tell them.

Please read about Kevin Hines. He jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge and survived.

please search for a thread
i jumped 8 stories and survived
by fightclub 17

i am sorry, but i cannot bring myself to look at any of fightclub's threads anymore, even typing this for you hurts so much

she jumped from 8 stories and survived with horrific injuries - your plan might work, but if it doesn't . . . .

and for what it is worth, in my opinion, jumping would take the most courage of almost any method. there is no way anyone can give you the required courage without totally impairing your judgement too

That is not tall enough. People survive falls like that. I think it should be at least 150 feet. But, you're young. PLEASE reconsider.

I hear so many mixed things about jumping, people say if it's high enough it instantly kills you but the amount of people who have ended up disabled and still alive because they jumped is more than you'd think.
