Help Jumping is harder than I thought, is this high enough though?

Went to my local mall last week. That mall had three reported cases of suicide in 2016-2017. They put glass walls on the 5th floor where they all jumped from. The 4th floor, however, still has rails that can be climbed. Took this shot from the 4th floor.

I stayed there for like 45 minutes, trying to work up my willpower to jump. The human being's survival instinct is much difficult to overcome than I thought. That, and I was having second thoughts if this was high enough to kill me. I don't care if I don't die instantaneously as long as I die within the day. Such was the case for the suicide victims, died upon reaching the hospital.

So... yeah. Just wanted to get that off my chest. And also genuinely curious if you people think this would be high enough for a thin 20 year old guy.

Would it be possible for you to look into another method? SN or N perhaps?
I personally would never be able to jump. I feel like SI would be slightly easier to overcome with less bloody methods, like drinking SN or N.

I would say jumping is easier than Sn and n. But the height needs to be very high

I guess we are different then. I suppose each person has his/her own preference.
I'm terrified of heights, so I know I can never work up the courage to jump. N or SN might or might not be more peaceful, but it's easier to know my body will be in one piece.

Perhaps they didn't put a glass wall on the 4th floor for a reason... And do you want to traumatize people in a mall? Where there are often kids and teens? Most of them, probably living sheltered lives.

I wouldn't recommend jumping from a place like that. You could end up landing on someone or traumatising a child that may see you. Doesn't look high enough to be certain either. If I was going to jump it would be a high cliff top onto an unused rocky beach.

I'm getting seriously tempted to jump, just fuck it and drop, horrible way to go though.

@Dun Emeritus, that isn't high enough to be very sure. I'm very sorry you're contemplating such things, but you should find a different place, a different method, or another try at living.

I agree with the others about the high risk of landing on someone/traumatising innocent people with such a crowded place.
That's probably another reason why people prefer bridges

That seems very risky. Not only could you land on someone and seriously injure (or kill) them, you probably would survive the fall too. I have read of people jumping in malls and succeeding but it seems like there's a higher chance of surviving than dying if you jump from the 4th floor.

It might kill you in the same sense that you might die from falling down your basement stairs. The most likely outcome will be that you survive, you go to hospital, and then they lock you up in the loony bin, then you get out to seek a better plan.

Thus far this is the lowest proposed jump I've seen on this forum.

Very low chance you'd die I think. You would have to land right on your head, and considering it's a very public place, someone would call an ambulance immediately. If you survive that, you'd be very, very miserable for the rest of your life in a variety of ways.

Having read all these responses... I feel better I made the right call not to jump lol.
