i know concrete is best to guarantee death but if its from the 17th floor or 170 feet high, shouldnt the outcome still be death?
The outcome may or may not be death, If I had to guess, I'd guess less than 10% chance of survival, but check the article below, because it has better data (maybe search the DOI in Anna's archive or smth if u don't have access)i know concrete is best to guarantee death but if its from the 17th floor or 170 feet high, shouldnt the outcome still be death?
Well even if you are found how would they save you?Eh just make sure it's secluded. The brain injury alone will kill you pretty quickly if you're not found, but your body will be screaming if you don't die instantly.
From what ive seen in methods that involve jumping from heights, that is plenty deadly. Concrete is best, but I think if the jumper has high enough terminal velocity they won't survive. Do note what @EmptyBottle said, that it may or may not be death, and one might survive and be in the 1%. I can vouch for it being a 99/1 death to survival scenario, and please please please look at it that way or it'll end up worse in case the jumper survives. I was still alive and breathing after a traumatic attempt that i thought would 100% be enough and has high mortality in nature, yet i am still here and the suffering is even worse because of the disconnect between mind and body - mind is dead, body is alive.i know concrete is best to guarantee death but if its from the 17th floor or 170 feet high, shouldnt the outcome still be death?
Swim was discovered this way and a hospital flew a helicopter out to save them, chronic health issues and all. It wasn't over 150' tho, which is a much safer bet.Well even if you are found how would they save you?
What about over 30 floors? Surely thats enough. I just worry about the pain and taking too long to do it that someone finds me waiting and they put a net or something.Swim was discovered this way and a hospital flew a helicopter out to save them, chronic health issues and all. Because not everyone has access to buildings that tall? "Big city" is a relative term. In some regions the "big city" might too out at 10 floors. Also, most downtown buildings are businesses that are well awfures. You can not just wander in let alone get up to the roof. Why do you guys jump from such short buildings? Cant you just go to any big city and find your way to a tall building?
You actually can wander in pretty easily if you prepareBecause not everyone has access to buildings that tall? "Big city" is a relative term. Yeah trauma helicopters are very common for suicide attempts and could absolutely interfere and save a life and you'll end up with damage. Even after my train attempt trauma heli was deployed, but then they called it off when they could handle the severity on the spot.Swim was discovered this way and a hospital flew a helicopter out to save them, chronic health issues and all. 90% fatality risk at 7 stories according to that paper is a lower percentage than I thought. The outcome may or may not be death, If I had to guess, I'd guess less than 10% chance of survival, but check the article below, because it has better data (maybe search the DOI in Anna's archive or smth if u don't have access)
Someone survived a 300ft fall when rock climbing tho... I wonder what surface it was tho: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0379711219303236
It's just not always realistic. And not everyone knows that we can survive jumps below 150' so easily. It's pretty hard to hit a specific part of the ground in front of the building, as you'll fly forward while you fall down. It really depends if you step off, jump, or sprint your way over the edge. You actually can wander in pretty easily if you prepare
If youre going to kill yourself a greyhound to nyc isnt even expensive
I wouldn't count on easy access to a high floor in a place like NYC.You actually can wander in pretty easily if you prepare
