Jersey approves assisted dying for the terminally ill. It was rejected for the irredeemably suffering not terminally ill though. Still, I believe the law is a step is in the right direction.

Hoping the uk will follow suit.
It's a shame this wasnt extended to not just the terminally ill but it's some form of progress at least

There's steps to these things. This is the first step that Canada took. Its only been since the 1990s; I think skipping steps isn't here yet

Vote Labour in June. Kier Starmer supports changing the law for England. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-67785112

I agree. It's progress. The more countries that do this the better!

Yes I did read that starmer would bring this debate to the commons. I dont know where the tories stand on this issue.
Imo assisted suicide should be available worldwide. Maybe we'll get there some day

Totally agree. Once countries adopt euthanasia and realise the counter arguments - that the disabled will feel bullied into it - are bollocks, then they expand the criteria. Steps as you say.

Even young and healthy people should get the opportunity for assisted dying. What a dogshit, backwards civilization.

'The second route, for those who are not terminally ill but who have an incurable medical condition causing unbearable suffering, was rejected by a majority of 27 to 19.'

The above just blows my mind! How on earth can the majority vote against this. So they are basically saying we vote for those with unbearable suffering with incurable medical conditions to continue suffering for the rest of their lives! What the fuck, how is that humane. Blows my mind.

Crazy isn't it? Still, Jersey has made progress in the right direction, we at sanctioned-suicide should welcome every move towards euthanasia.

Are you still waiting for your Pegasos application?

Absolutely crazy, it just doesn't make any sense.

Hoping to hear back from Pegasos next week. We shall see.

My body, my choice......applies to suicide, abortion, and vaccines. Not the government's business.
