I've been trying combinations of suspension/leaning all day to no avail. This isn't my first rodeo, and I've had some experience with attempts in the past, but I'm seriously at a loss. I can't get myself to pass out no matter what I do. Earlier today I know I was suffering some complications of blood loss to my brain because I felt as if I was having a seizure with lots of involuntary spasms. Except I was totally awake and conscious.

My setup is in my closet. I wish it was a smidge higher so I could just do a drop. Unfortunately, it's only about
a foot over my head and my feet still touch the ground. I even tried the "knock out game" to get myself to pass out while in my setup, and I almost get there, but I don't just drop like I see others do.

I had the most success with leaning on the floor in a crawling position away from the closet. My body starts shaking, but I can't black out.

Just mostly frustrated because it has to be done tonight. I've been trying since the afternoon. Will try more throughout the night. Just lamenting still being here.

Where do you have the rope positioned? I tried today and all I got was some pressure. Are you trying to get the carotid where the jaw and neck meet?

right below my chin. it's a slipknot with knot behind me and to the right. When I went for a directly behind me approach I was crushing my trachea and gagging, which I want to avoid. Trying to avoid pressure buildup feeling as well.

Ah, I was directly behind with the knot. That would explain that.

Was that staright after attempting? I've had that same thing when practising, after letting go I start 'seizing' and get confused. I believe that means that I got the carotid. It's a very strange feeling when you get it.

Why does it have to be done tonight?

Your carotid is just in front of, and below the angle of your jaw.

I don't know why it's so easy for some people. All of these celebrities seemed to have got it done in one shot. Maybe take something to sedate yourself like even otc benadryl to sedate yourself enough to the point your body doesn't fight back. I'm gonna sedate the hell out of myself when I do it. Death freaks me out, but so does living like a zombie while I live off benefits the rest of my life when I could have done a lot more. Maybe the pressure of getting it done tonight is making you nervous and unable to complete it. Best of luck if this is what you really need and want. I don't know your situation but it must be pretty messed up to have gotten you to this point. Wish you well.
