I love my mother. I do not want her to find my body. That's why I do not want to CTB at home. I've acquired SN a month ago. I was wondering if anyone you heard someone in SaSu traveling to another country, somewhere a remote place, and CTB there so that they are not found? Money is not an issue for me to travel. Please help me with ideas /suggestions or point me to resources regarding this.

I think that also depends! Would you prefer your mother not finding your body but receiving the news that you have passed away, or would you never want your mother to find out? I'm not quite sure how easy it is to CTB in a place so remote you're sure you won't be found for a while/ever. I know this is not an answer to your question, but I thought I could give my 2 cents on this topic. Personally I have not read about anyone traveling to a different country to CTB there on SaSu..

Thank you for this. No I'd leave her a note that I am CTBing. She's aware of this I've been taking about CTBing many times recently. Also it's not like this is a new issue for me, I have been suicidal since mid-teens, I am 33 now. So far I have attempted 3 serious attempts and got saved. But now my dear mother is old and frail with a lot of complications, I've ensured financially she's a in a good place and could support her medical bills on her own. I've taken care of that.

I have never vacationed properly in my life, dealing with profound anxiety lifelong means I have never got to experience some basic things. So for my last attempt I want to travel the world, experience life just before I say goodbye, and then find a quiet corner somewhere in this world, take my SN, and just disappear.

You are definitely correct about not dying at the house. I've only been here a few days and I am blown away by the number of people who are just fine with their family seeing them hanging off a doorknob. Hopefully its much more rare than it seems because I could not imagine.

To answer your question yeah I have heard of people who killed themselves at a remote location to avoid discovery. Its some of the saddest shit I've ever heard of. Parents not knowing what happened to their child. Never having any closure and never being able to move on. I don't know your mother so she could be the most vile person on the planet, but even if she was I wouldn't wish that fate on her. If you love her please die in a location where you will be discovered but not by any family. Maybe at a motel or in your car parked in a semi private place.

I would try to hold on until she passes. The only reason I'm still here is that I have a mother and a wife and I love them both dearly. I don't want to be here (I'm in chronic, unbearable physical pain) but I can't put them through the anguish of my death---just imagining them finding out and attending the funeral is too much to bear. My wife is my age and in good health, so that means I don't get to CTB anytime soon. :( If your mother is already 80, you may not have to wait that long.
