• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

if you have chronic pain, even if thats not terminal, it should be understood that still qualifies you for a physician assisted suicide. im not sure who was responsible making the decision to exclude chronic pain ppl from the criteria for medical euthanasia, but im going to go out on a limb and assume it was a healthy person(s) who have no right making the decisions from their place of privilege never having shared the experiences of those they are making decisions for

I understand and I see it as such extreme cruelty how the option to be euthanised to escape from this torturous, futile existence is denied, there needs to be the option to cease existing painlessly and the fact that such an option is denied only ever causes way more suffering and harm in this existence that to me is only suffering with no limit as to how much one can be tortured in the first place.

Um it's not even legal for the terminally ill in most places.

To stay alive under almost any circumstances is a sickness with us. - Thomas Ligotti

^ So much so that we have to make it the fucking law!

i agree. I looked at the laws in my state and its for terminally ill only. My mother is suffering with chronic pain every minute of every day but its not a terminal illness. I feel so awful I wish i could help her find relief

Is also really bad when something is seriously wrong with your mind with the additional layer of getting no empathy whatsoever . I'm in so much mental agony every single minute of everyday but isn't like i can prove it with blood work or some kind of test that shows that i really have it. Most of my family members just brush it off to lazyness , they don't even consider mental ilness real and just tell me to stop complaining or to stop faking ilness for attention. Even so called professionals dismiss and down play my issues. Mental patients dont get a break from society much less the chance for a humane and peaceful exit.
