i currently have a choice between taking 2x the max recommended dose of multiple pain killers per day, which will slowly kill me, or be in extreme pain to the point i can't move

the high dose of NSAIDs im taking has caused me to start experiencing myoclonus. a tldr is that my muscles, usually a specific group of muscles, randomly tense and cause me to jerk to the side or something to that affect

its very annoying

the dosage is also slowly giving me kidney and/or liver damage, so thats fun.

oh well. not like im gonna be around long enough for it to matter lmao

Shit, I have been considering living on painkillers too. They barely help in almost all cases though, and always being on them just adds to the health problems. My condolences that you have this issue.

Yeah not how it works most of the time especially if you're younger but in general they are weird and shitty about pain meds even if you're in horrible endless agony without. They literally can just say sorry nothing we can do take Advil.

you'd think someone greenlit eligible for PAS would get some fucking opioids or something

(edit: forgot @waistcoat hasn't actually been approved yet)

yeah, you'd think.
my last doctor gave me 30 strong pain killers, that i have had to use sparingly (and even then sometimes they dont work). they refused to give me more. im hoping my next dr will be more…. compassionate.

im young, so they refuse to take me seriously. they assume im drug seeking. yk, despite the YEARS of medical interventions starting from when i was less than a year old.

sigh. i dont even want to die i just want to have peace.

Depends on the country. Some countries only give you nsaids no matter what, some of those can be pretty strong and be equivalent to morphine. They hit stomach or kidneys very hard though.
I've read a study somewhere that suffering from chronic pain literally makes you dumber by the year because it degrades the cerebral cortex and there's been IQ tests before and after. But don't quote me on that one.
