Is train guaranteed kill?

I know it's selfish. I really do.
And if there is any other method, I will do it. I'm considering SN, but a train just feels so accessible. I live in Japan so there is no shortage of trains. The only barrier is the physical barrier, but one station near me, the barriers are broken. Both rapid and local trains pass there, and although it's a local station, I know which track the rapid train goes on and I could possibly time it right.

Of course I know its selfish and I don't want to traumatise a person or cause issues, or put security guards in danger trying to get me, but theoretically if I just can't take it anymore, are there any stats of just how fast we need to be going? I feel a local train isn't gonna cut it. I've tried to research this but I can't find a speed for 100% death. I assume it wojld be over quite fast. I just don't want to live with lifechanging Injuries. I want to not be here

I don't have any concrete numbers but as long as you don't pull a Rina and lay your head on the tracks to be decapitated, your chances aren't that good.
You could hesitate in the moment and just get badly injured. You might do everything right and just end up severely disabled but alive. You might die from your wounds but only much later.

If everything goes right, it should be lights out when you hit the train, but there are too many variables to make it a reliable method.

There isn't a lot of info on trains here. It should be very effective but I wish more data existed. Lying seems more effective. There was a user here that stood and then tried to back out but struck and thrown. Injuries weren't awful. But lying down I don't see surviving

death is never guaranteed on any method unfortunately. it truly matters for what part of the body the train cuts u in half and when medics get there (if your head wasn't split in half).

I found a paper from my home country where death to suicide attempts is around 53% and im guessing its all attempts even if it was prevented before jumping or the train even being near.

your best best is probably going to be finding rails far enough that u are able to lay head down on the rail to be beheaded. If the train doesnt stop completly u are 100% guaranteed to die there but just by being beheaded.

In theory it should be the place u your body cuts in half and the time in response. I dont know how much it would take and i think its better not to think about it as its too "random" for suicide attempt. SN is always going to be a better option for you because it sounds like u are going to jump in front of the train instead of laying your head on the rails and it truly random
