Is too much spam an issue in this forum?

Today my thread/poll "Poll: Have you ever participated in a poll on SaSu?" was deleted and I totally cannot understand why. I wanted that this thread you are currently reading exlcudes a poll but I was too scared it gets deleted again. I don't know the current staff team. It is not shown anymore who is currently on.
Many of you agreed that this forum is full of half-knowledge. But is it also flodded by spam? Is there lighthearted funny spam that has at least some purpose (a good old chuckle) and is there toxic spam that is noone's benefit. Where to draw the line. And is there already too much spam? This forum is sort of repetitve in some ways.

If we only had one spam thread where our human need to post spam could get satisfied. I once heard a really savage maverick once posted such a thread and fills it since. 271 replies 13 k views and still going.

The SPAM thread is gone. So I guess we can confirm the statement of the title of this thread. I liked to share my rants in the spam thread. It was a funny thread. Many people had creative ideas to produce SPAM and some SPAM was worthwhile. But I also like the notion of all SPAM getting deleted all at once. It adds another meta-level to this thread. But we all know the internet never forgets and the posts are probably saved in archives anyway.

R.I.P. SPAM thread. You did your service by entertaining suicidal, lonely people in this forum. We will never forget you! Goodbye soldier!

I can't believe this thread has 549 clicks the moment I sent this reply. I think this forum rather has a problem with bots than with SPAM. It is insane how many guests are online. And all my old posts accumulate so many views after some time despite the fact there are no new replies.
