Help Is this too cruel?

A few hours from now I am going to (at the very least) try and get injured through suicide, my friends have accepted that I'm doing this but I'm wondering if just ending everything now would be better, they clearly don't need me at all to be happy and they're all that matter to me. I know that without understanding a person's situation it's hard to give advice, but I'm more so curious if this is too far for a non suicidal person to handle.
