Is this a scam?

I found a source on Alibaba (not the one I recently posted about) and the seller is saying that since SN is a dangerous thing to ship, they will put it under another chemical name. However, the chemical looks exactly the same as SN and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to tell the difference. Also, the price is $190 for this one.

Does this sound like a scam? They needed me to send my phone number and shipping address in messages so I could confirm the purchase but it seems a bit strange. Not sure how to take screenshots on my laptop, but I will try now and try editing them into the post.

Yes I would say its probably a scam
My thought is: why would they risk imprisonment shipping this illegally for a random person? I cant imagine the Chinese government is okay with mislabeling exports are. They will take your money and send you a bag of sugar or sodium nitrate

No it doesn't look like scam because that's how alibaba works as they will ask your number and address in the messages

I have purchased from alibaba and they generally do that but shipping is expensive

They are right, you should not ship sn but they gave you a good idea

Checkout out their ratings and how many years they are in business, most alibaba sellers don't scam, especially sn is easily available so they don't have to scam you

I'm going through the same situation. My SN order is labelled as a different chemical by a company on Alibaba. They assured me it's SN that I'd be getting despite the order contract. I'm waiting for my package to arrive soon. My concern is the international shipping (China to US). Would the company take the risk of concealing the shipping content to sell a few grams of chemicals? I'm worried they won't send me SN like they said.

Alibaba sellers will help buyers as much as they can still clearing customs is risky but mostly people clear it
