I have a permanent neck injury and brain injury from failing at hanging (full suspension, though I've also tried partial and failed). I think I'm ready to try again.

Is there a suicide method which will either succeed, or if it fails it won't fuck me over with like brain damage or something? I don't want my life to just end up worse. Obviously ideally it works but I'm willing to sacrifice a few % effectiveness for lower brain injury risk. I really don't want to fail and then get fucked over.

I have no access to guns, don't know how to buy drugs. I can easily jump in front of a train though of course thats messed up to the driver. Other then that I'm not sure, I could probably buy helium but that seems insanley complicated, and brain damage risk of course.

Every method has extremely bad things that can happen if you fail and nothing is 100% I wish it weren't so. I would be dead by now

Do you know why your hanging failed? Were you found?

I'm sure there are methods that might be able to, but I don't believe so from the methods I know. Any method causes a lack of oxygenated blood to the brain, whether this is directly caused by hypoxia (such as SN, hanging, respiratory depression, or inert gases) or lack of blood reaching the brain (as happens in cardiac arrest, which I believe is the primary mechanism of action in an amitriptyline OD). Jumping off a height, into a train, or shooting oneself with a gun could lead to either brain damage or physical damage if it fails. This isn't to make you scared, I just don't know of any methods personally that wouldn't result in even the potential of brain damage in the worst case scenario.

survival instinct is my best guess, I was significantly injured though. It was extremely traumatic and I still have trouble to this day seeing stuff about things being around peoples necks at all. I was slowly pushing the chair away from me until I was around diagonal and the chair started moving on its own because of how my body weight and gravity worked. It was excruciatingly painful and terrifying and I couldn't go back if I wanted to, and SI made me 'want to' on some level. Eventually the chair slipped enough that I dropped and I kinda accepted my fate. That's all I remember until I'd guess an hour later, with gashes forming a ring around my neck (still have the scar), sitting on the couch, calling my friend. I'm assuming I flailed about enough to grab the chair with my feet and pull it back but idk. I have chronic neck pain and probable cervical instability as well as brain damage affecting cognition and chronic headaches + far worse stuff (but might be identifying) now.

What about lower risk? And how would I access SN? Having trouble finding that.

I dont know. Surviving trying to kill the own brain would be strange if it didnt leave any lasting affects. Youre trying to kill the thing that runs your entire body, i dont see how theres any non destructible way to destroy ones self.

Drugs destroy you just as much as anything else would. In fact those are accidental suicides at most, but look at how it leaves the individual whilst still alive.

Hypothetically you could find a tall enough place with zero chance of survival, but it depends really. I dont know if you want that route, and i dont know if its a 100% either. Theres been people who survive the golden gate bridge. Life is a roll of die

So I'm assuming means there aren't really options that either will kill you or not do much to you (without much in between) or who's main mechanism is damage to a non-brain organ?

Not really. Your aim is to harm your body enough that it dies, I don't really see how you're going to intentionally do that and not have lasting damage if you fuck it up.
