I think assuming that humanity will literally go extinct over it is capatalist realism. People have an easier time imagining the end of the world than the end of capatalism. Humans have lived sustainably with the planet before and can do so again, imo. We just gotta learn the hard lesson that maybe we don't need the "choice" of 50 different brands of identical toothpaste all in non biodegradable plastic first. But ya I am really worried about war caused by climate refugees and all the racists fucks. And climate change is also one of my big reasons for wanting to ctb. Just sounds like a god awful time to be alive during.
