I imagine in most cases adrenaline would mask any pain you might otherwise feel.

It can be if you don't land correctly or don't fall from a sufficient height (150 ft on land and 250 ft over water according to lostallhope site).

I imagine in most cases adrenaline would mask any pain you might otherwise feel.
I think only temporarily and if it was a failed attempt, then pain will quickly catch up to the person.

Well with most successful jumps, the height is great enough that a person blacks out immediately from concussion/hemorrhaging. Death is then very close behind. If done from a high enough place, and ideally with a backwards fall on the head and neck area, a person really shouldn't feel much of anything in theory. But it's hard to say for sure, or how the actual jump would pan out in practice.

If you jump from high enough, chances are you'll black out before you land and if you do land awake, you'll land so hard that you won't even notice much of the pain as you die in seconds. Adrenaline's a big factor too - when I broke my wrist during a game of soccer I was in so much pain, I had never felt it before. But I didn't even noticed my wrist was broken after it happened - adrenile kept me running!

as a jump survivor it is the opposite, i was feeling great when i woke up for a few seconds before passing out again but if you fail then you are fucked big time.

Unless u land on a massive airbag then i guess it will involve some pain !
Best to jump from the recommended height and hopefully the pain will be only brief.

I really have a hard time determining how to guarantee falling on your head. Those that survive seem to have feet landings with much trauma but not death.

Jumping is at the bottom of my list. The chance that I could fail and live as a vegetable/severely injured forever scares me.
