is SN really painless? is it painful like Cyanide?

but my question here is, will I suffer to death?

Or will I just slowly run out of oxygen, passing away?

Like people who breath CO²?

Because I read that people that kill themselves by taking Cyanide, which causes celular hipoxia, suffer a lot before they actually die.

Can someone help me?

You can read conflicting information on the forum about the painlessness of SN. You may experience moderate headache, tachycardia, nausea and also vomiting which will definitely not be pleasant. Despite this, the SN method is considered to be relatively peaceful.

Not sure where you live but if you had access to purchase CBD oil (in capsules or even tincture), that might make you feel warm and fuzzy along the way too.

I have zero idea though if CBD oil is a good idea to take with SN or the other antiemetics, I'm def not a scientist or even medically proficient when it comes to mixing substances together.

I've taken CBD capsules in the past though (for sleeping) and you def drift off into this beautiful and deep sleep within 20-30 after consuming them.

I have also wondered about this because, as you point out, the process by which SN delivers one from this evil world seems to overlap with the process of deliverance after taking cyanide and I've also heard cyanide is painful. Was the "cyanide is painful" buzz phrase a lie to stop people from using cyanide to catch the bus or is SN significantly different from cyanide?

Some cases are painful, some cases are peaceful. Everybody reacts different.

In this document where failed attempts collected most cases are relatively painless and some of them really discomforting (tachycardia, headache, one case of blindness that recovered and one case couldn't move or talk). Recommend you to read this.

It is obvious that following a regime (pills) does not guarantee a peaceful death, but somehow this is a common misconception.

SN is quite safe and has been proven peaceful enough for many people. It's more peaceful than cyanide, peacefulness score nitrite vs cyanide = 7/10 versus 5/10.

Also, what's more important to me, I would take the chance for a mild suffering for probably 30-40 minutes before losing consciousness, rather than continuing this stupid and horrible existence full of pain for next 30-40 years.

with gratitude to all members who have documented SN attempts... using the list compiled by @neville1 and a couple of other cases, i've created two publicly accessible google documents: SN "successes" and SN failures. both detail members' methods and experiences as extensively as i could from the details provided. i've included most questions from other members and the attempters' answers to them; most applicable in the failed-attempts document.

basically, i thought this might make a useful resource to people looking for (ostensibly) real-life SN-attempt methods and experiences in single documents rather than searching through the forum.

the reason i place quotes around "successes" is that, in most cases, there's no substantial verification of success. i did notice a couple of cases do have verification, but i haven't highlighted those (like the vomiters) yet.

Despite the uncertainty of the veracity of the testimonials, I'm inclined to believe most. Many departed devoted much time and effort to the forum and it seems unlikely that they gave up their accounts to fake death.

I'm using @quarty00's choice of words. The word "success" was never intended to convey celebration of the attempt. The circumstances that result in someone making this choice are tragic for families, friends and members of the board.

I relied on posts by @Living sucks on @notjustyetagain's thread for many recent ones.

My thanks to all of those who have given their testimony and my condolences to all those grieving for the departed.

Really? Because I watched the movie Downfall and it showed Mrs.Goebbels putting Cyanide capsules in each of her children's mouth, and each of them died peacefully within 2 seconds. Looked like the best method of suicide anyone could wish for. Was I lied to by a movie?

I wouldn't trust movies. I've been warned they make cyanide pills look painless and much quicker than they actually are.

I once read a article about a guy who was found guilty at a court and took a cyanide pill before they could take him away. It took about 2-5 minutes before passing away (can't remember the full details), and I don't think the security could do anything to save him because of how fast acting it was, but he was apparently in a lot of terrible pain for those last few minutes of his life.
