Method Is SN purity testing necessary?

Hi. I found a 500gm pack of SN that I can get very easily from a lab chemicals supplier. Can I open the the pack just for testing or that would ruin its purity? Thanks!

I would suggest putting it in a secure jar or bottle and take some at that moment and test it.
But also because it's a lab...if the lab is legit...you would test for your own peace of mind.

If it is from a chemical supplier, it's probably not necessary.
