I've been looking through the threads and found many failed attempts and why does it fail? and how to prevent that?

FSH has a very high success rate - those people aren't around to tell the tale. PSH has the issue that it can be hard to find the sweet spot consistently.

you cannot survive being hanged if your blood or air supply is cut off - there is not ifs, buts or maybes about it

if you anchor point and rope are secure then nothing can save you - the reason some people survive is because they back out of it before they pass out, which can happen very quickly. like with many methods, it should not be tested. it should only be done if the person is serious

I know a few things about this. I can give you more details, but could we do that via DM?

I've attempted FSH, i would say it has more success rate than PSH if everything is done right. In my case, The only that went wrong was that the knot was too loose so i fell onto the floor after i was unconcious. In PSH, i feel like it is more harder to nail it for the reason @Steph99 mentioned.

I've read some stories that they've survived and become vegetative state like. Does that happened if someone found you too soon? I want to prevent all survival chances.

Yes, I've heard some situations like that and permanent damage after FSH/PSH going wrong, i was lucky enough to not suffer much damage other than bruising around the neck and intense throat pain (probably due to muscle contraction) for a few weeks as i fell onto the ground pretty soon. I would say it's partially because someone finding you too soon(for the vegetative state like) or you got your sweet spots totally wrong and it can get really painful if that's the case. Normally i would describe this method as uncomfortable rather than painful. If you do manage to find your sweet spot and the setup is perfect, i feel like there's not really much chances of surviving.

I completely second this especially with FSH, if you got everything right and you go into testing it. I'm afraid it can turn deadly.

Although full suspension has a higher fatality rate, over half of all hanging deaths are caused by partial suspension.

Clancy Martin actually describes in his book How Not to Kill Yourself: A Portrait of the Suicidal Mind how he attempted FSH and was able to back out of it even after kicking the chair away. Possible he backed out before passing out, as you allude to, but FSH isn't always successful.

Is it because it can be test easier than FSH? I would prefer PSH too, might be a little less horrifying for someone to found me
