The stuff I used to handle is becoming increasingly difficult. My resilience is fading and it's scary to me.
Yeah that's life in a nutshell. It's so perfect
Why is it necessary? For personal growth? There are always moments (which can extend for months or years) in which you need to stop and experience sadness, defeat, anxiety, whatever it is. You won't be successfully coping all the time.
Well, it's necessary if you want to stay functional. Why is it necessary? For personal growth?
Functional as in staying alive? If coping doesn't always work, then how are those periodic slumps not signs of dysfunction?Well, it's necessary if you want to stay functional.
No, functional as in functional. Just staying alive is not the same thing. That is merely existing, which for me is not enough. Nor for most of us, I imagine, or we wouldn't be here in the first place.Functional as in staying alive? If coping doesn't always work, then how are those periodic slumps not signs of dysfunction?
Growing up in a religious household, I have always been seeing life as a "test" of kindness and resiliency. Now, im just tired. Maybe this is how far I can go and the end of my test. The stuff I used to handle is becoming increasingly difficult. My resilience is fading and it's scary to me.
I think life is shot for stop and great for others, the luck of with them. Better to be born lucky than born rich. We must keep going. The stuff I used to handle is becoming increasingly difficult. My resilience is fading and it's scary to me.
Another thing we're told is that God never gives us more than we can handle... I've come to believe that is meaningless tripe we say to make ourselves feel better during senseless tragedy and unbearable circumstance.Growing up in a religious household, I have always been seeing life as a "test" of kindness and resiliency. You have a point. But maybe it also means that we can handle death.Another thing we're told is that God never gives us more than we can handle... I've come to believe that is meaningless tripe we say to make ourselves feel better during senseless tragedy and unbearable circumstance.
Ditto to all of that.Mine definitely did. It kept on breaking me in various ways even when I couldn't handle it and year after year, I lost parts of myself which were absolutely necessary to survive in this world. Now I am like a dead spirit living inside this decaying body, yet life won't kill me and I have to do it myself.
