  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

Hi, I have a question about jumping.
How do you get over fear of jumping? Drugs or alcohol?

I know a place to jump and I plan to do it at night. There's no rush, but faster is better.

I have a google maps link but I don't know if I can post it here. I need to know if it leads to instant death. I don't feel like lying on the floor half dead.

Can I post the link of the building? Maybe private message? I want to remain anonymous.

This is not excatly certain, since some people die from 2 or 3 stories and one person surivied falling from 60 stories- so much of it is how you land. The golden gate bridge is 200 feet to water and it has a 99% success rate, but it's almost impossible to jump there- police swarm any single people walking on the bridge and next year, I think, the net will be complete. Currently one person is able to jump every two weeks on average, out of probably hundreds who want to, I would bet. I f you walked with a group and broke off at the right spot this could work, but it's very tough. Some people say ten stories works most of the time, but there is no sure thing. Since I really want to avoid a failed attempt I would probably want 200 feet.

We've had many people jump off cliffs near me, some 500 feet drop in places They evaded the Chaplaincy Teams too who patrol the area. Infact, even a priest went over the top. I read about a whole family who took the plunge.too.

Some heart- rendering stories too you know as they all appear in the news later on.

Not to mention the poor souls who have to scrape the remains off the ground..Really gruesome.

Peace❤

Like others have said, it really depends on the height, how you fall and God's sense of humor that day

I'd reckon make sure you fall so that you land on your head, from a high enough drop that'll blow your lid off just like a gun.

Nerves that replicate pain travel 150-220mph, terminal velocity of the human body in the belly flop position is 120mph (assuming you've had 12 seconds or 1200+ feet to free fall) so if you land on your feet, it's guaranteed you'll at least feel a huge jolt or pain before blacking out or dying a fraction of a second later

So it's pretty important you land on your head, you'll be out like a light without knowing it if you do it correctly.

A few suicides in my area of recent, one a mutli story carpark (3rd floor) another a bridge over a dual carriage way, its not the height but how you land.
As for getting over the fear of it, take yourself to the darkest space in your mind and remind yourself why you are there

It really depends on what you fall on. Something like concrete or maybe just plain ground or mud. Watch gore videos of people jumping, that is grim but worthy source of research.

Besides concrete is death sentence, brain just bounces of and turns into mush, consciousness lost at instant. With dirt it might be slow and painful death after sometime in hospital. I have seen people turned into mist after falling on concrete.

Thank you. This is all I needed to know. If the time ever comes I'll know.

(for those who sent me a private message, I can't message you back [didn't read the forum rules apparently] )

This thread can be deleted, it doesn't matter to me if it stays tho.
