i know train is not encouraged, but i'm not really sure why...
jumping from building = risk of accidentally landing on someone innocent.
BBQ smoke = it can accidentally poison the neighbors thru the vent
and there's many methods with negative downsides, but with trains, all that happens is a train gets delayed or cancelled, and yes, unfortunately you will ruin the people's day,
and maybe traumatize them if they happen to look directly at the scene.

but that would be better than the things mentioned up above

and there's also trains without passengers, that transport oil from place to place.
so hypothetically just use one of them, if ever.

I'm also considering train, even I know it's not popular. But I'm pretty sure I won't do it because I hate violent situations and blood.

one would hypothetically need to place their head right where the wheel goes, then it would be an instant suicide,
except for the waiting for the train

I can't imagine why it would be more powerful (force = mass X acceleration), but possibly more precise - a very fast train might just blow you out of the way basically. Especially if you jump, which I wouldn't recommend - too high risk of survival in terribly maimed condition. Better to go in the night to a place where the tracks go through a remote area, it's what I would do if I were to choose this method, try to camouflage myself as much as possible and to use the train track as a "guillotine".

yeah exactly about the guillotine thing, and kinda secluded.
would hypothetically probably be difficult to keep your head there and beat SI.
someone said use headphones, but...

I plan to go out via train in a few days. I think most people are deterred by its brutality and by the fact it involves other people. Even if it's some sort of freight train, there is still a conductor.
You do also make somewhat of a spectacle of yourself. I don't think I've seen a suicide in the news recently that wasn't via train. It's a disruptive way to die.

sorry to hear. what will your body position be when you put yourself on the train tracks?

Someone jumped under my brothers train. He got out because he felt a thump and saw what happened. It caused him to develop anxiety and have nightmares where he would relive that. You could ruin that job for them. People would have to clean up your mangled body too. But it's not a good method because someone will be driving the train.

Im sorry but this method just seems really selfish. They are going to be stuck with that memory for the rest of their lives. You dont just forget something like that. Perhaps you should looking into other methods like hanging?

I have been considering train for quite a while. today I went to some isolated tracks and watched a train go by. There is no way someone would survive being hit by a train, it was so powerful and actually scary when I considered what I might do.

pretty soon this wont even be an option. japan is testing out a sort of "air bag" at the front of a train. I saw it hitting crash test dummies. So, clearly they are trying to prevent train suicides. They also try to prevent jumping, which is why so many of the bridges how have a suicide barrier. I guess hanging is the only thing that can't be taken away.

if you lay on the tracks you could potentially cover yourself with a blanket or something. idk if that would make it less traumatizing for train driver or not.
